oh i thought this thread was about the Ravens.....should i change the thread title to suit your needs?

I answered a simple question from another poster. I apologize for ever talking about another team other than the Ravens even though it was about the team they just played yesterday. Won't happen again.

Also yes Houston was talked about as a top 3 team in the AFC. Many analyst had Houston, Denver, New England, Cincinnati, and Baltimore in that discussion. For Houston many would talk about how they had the deepest roster of any of the teams in the AFC and the only thing that could stop them from being that would be if Schaub had a very down year. So far he is having a down year.

Now I do give props to Baltimore for what they did to Houston yesterday but honestly I still would rate Houston ahead of Baltimore for the whole season. They have some major issues on both sides of the ball but they are a very talented team who is struggling right now. There are a few teams in the league that could say that with Green Bay, San Fran, and Atlanta all struggling here at the early part of this season but everybody knows they are just too talented of teams to keep losing. Three games into the season does not decide the end result...I would think as a Raven fan you would understand that better than most. For now I give Houston a little bit of a pass as they had just come off of two pretty emotional hard fought games, were missing their All-Pro LT, and Johnson was hurt pretty bad in this game. Every team has a let down game now and again. Throw in giving the Ravens 14 points off of special teams and defensive touchdown. Again though props to Baltimore for taking advantage of those opportunities and the defense does look like it is doing better than at least they were week one. Should be a good race between Baltimore and Cincinnati this year for the AFC North title. Might have to win the division this year as I don't know if two teams will be coming out of that division.

The Texans game was pretty impressive, but I think BAL has Shaub figured out. Good job.

i think it shows what this team can do to a good QB when it's prepared, without Ray Lewis being there.

Yea, i know people are saying the reason the Ravens did well it only because Ray was there that day.

The Ravens actually played well in the first half against Denver. That 2nd half though was an absolute abortion.

Can't wait to see them play Cincy. If they can get in the playoffs they've proved year in and year out that they'll be a threat.

They've seemed to have reversed from week one and are now making great second half adjustments, and that's goes for the offense as well.

There are probably a few spouting that but I think it's bunk. As I said, the Ravens are still a top of the league defense. As for Schaub, they have him completely figured out but he isn't all that great, IMO. He's steady but unspectacular and if you shut down Arian, Houston is pretty average offensively.

Ed Reed warned his teammates how great the Ravens D is:

"Baltimore has a great defense," Reed said. "I told the guys (on offense) coming into this game, defensively they're going to know every move that you're making, everything that you're doing."

Ed Reed has clearly suffered one too many concussions.

C'Mon... Ed Reed made a gross overstatement of the Ravens ability to know Houston's every move.

Sure the Ravens will study game film, but if Ed Reed believes that the Ravens ability to study film is far superior to the Texans ability to study film... then Ed choose the wrong team.

It's such a bonehead thing to say about your former team.

CBS Sports:

"nice to see -- on a day where Ray Lewis was honored at halftime -- how good this 2013 Ravens defense can be. They completely snuffed out the Texans to the tune of just three Randy Bullock field goals. Arian Foster and Matt Schaub were non-factors Sunday."

ray was there on the sidelines was he not? maybe thats why they played good. ravens should set up a posturepedic bed for ray on the sideline for every game and feed him popcorn. :)

Then you may want to let someone with Bills know that the game is actually in Buffalo.
