"The Anointed" was lost yesterday. A couple more games like yesterday and 49ers fans will be crying for the return of Alex Smith.

Just like I predicted after the SB, NFL defenses would figure Kaepernick out. The Colts put on a clinic yesterday on how to stop him. How funny would it be if Alex Smith wins more games than Kaepernick? I think it would be damn funny.

Kaepernick will be fine, this was only his 15th game of his career, you have to expect that he will fail sometimes(it never happened last seaspn)

He's the RG3 of this season. The media is tripping over itself to crown a black QB and the shit is going to their heads. Meanwhile the media treats Andrew Luck like he has the plague, and all he did was beat the Niners asses.

I would say no...but in spite of making it to the SB LY, I'm not sure he ever had it 100%.

Luck didn't exactly like it up yesterday either. What was surprising was the vaunted OL of SF was letting in a lot of pressure. I think SF has to play with a lead, or be in a close game. Kaep is clearly not ready to bring a team back down 2 possession or more yet.

To me this is where I would begin to blame the coaching staff. They have all but abandoned one of the best running attacks in the NFL from the year before. Frank Gore was ripping through the Colts defense early on and then they just completely stopped handing it off. I understand the Colts were actually getting quite a bit of pressure but they shouldn't have abandoned it so early into the game. Kaepernick is a good quarterback but at this point there is no need to put the whole game on his shoulders. If you have a good run game use that to your advantage. This is where I see Harbaugh almost being his own worst enemy in sometimes his ego gets in the way as he wants to prove to the NFL how much smarter he is than everybody else when in reality it is now costing his team winnable games.

They are already questioning the decision to get rid of Smith on the 49er board, but that decision was made financially, they couldn't afford to keep Smith if he wasn't the starter.

Luck has carried his team, but has made lots of mistakes along the way too (19 INTs last year), which is why he isn't a media darling...yet. His day will come.

The Seahawks also showed how to beat the 49ers and the Colts were smart enough to take notes. We'll see if the Rams and the rest of the league took notice as well.

Because it couldn't have anything to do with not having both Vernon Davis and Crabtree, (or even Manningham) on the field.......

Good point...I don't think you ever want to lay the game on a young QB with less than 20 NFL starts.

For 4 years all we heard was how great your coach and GM are. Where is the depth? Where are the developing players?

Isn't Kaepernick biracial? Of course if you're part black and successful at something then you're pretty much black in today's society.

I really wish race wasn't a thing. But that's a discussion for another board.

Good thing no other team in the history of the NFL has ever had major players go down with injuries. Your arguments are actually worse here than on the political board and I didn't thimk that was possible. Better fire up one of your alternate names so you can have someone agree with you.

Sure, those are factors. But The team on the field, with or without those guys, is the 49ers.

The team that took the field yesterday looked like C-R-A-P. There is no getting around that.

The OL was a sieve. The DL was a sieve. The players were playing with little/no discipline with another showing of pitiful penalties. The coaching was questionable in the abandoning of the running game (AGAIN).

I am not saying the sky is falling, however. At the beginning of the year, I was 1/2 expecting this team to start 1-5, but end the season at 11-5 or 10-6. Our first 6 games are our entire season. This start is not a surprise. We just need to weather the storm, and we will be fine.
