Watch Tennessee Titans vs. Pittsburgh Steelers [09/08/2013] - NFL.com

Net yards rushing - 32.

Yeah.....THIRTY TWO!

And three turnovers. 2 from "I want buttered popcorn as a pregame meal" Redman and one from Big Ben.

After seeing our offense couldn't generate anything, the Titans wisely started keeping 6 men in to protect Locker. They didn't care if they got points so long as they burned the clock.

Our offense went nowhere - fast.

This was about as pathetic as I've ever seen the offense perform. Everyone on the O side of the ball needs to give back their game checks. They didn't earn it. They got boo'd at home and as well they should have.

We're in trouble.

Concur 100%, I can't remember the Steeler offense looking so piss-poor in my life.

I'd like to extend kind words and be a gracious winner but I feel your pain because I'm not at all convinced that our defense doesn't royally suck.

Thanks Hammer.... Congrats on the win!!!!

Your D had more of a work out than a game.... Our O-line is in deep shit if they cant stop a 3 man rush all day!!!!

I can't help thinking we should have kept Dwyer. I think he was cut due to his salary. Me thinks this was a bad decision.

 I took the day off from the boards since I was at the game. And after the game I knew what was awaiting me if I started to read these threads. Let me tell you this, I think I was the only fan left in the stands that wasn't booing at the end of the game. Even an old lady in her 60's wearing Ben's jersey was screaming obscenities during the 4th quarter! Over the past few seasons I have realized that we have quite the spoiled fan base that are season ticket holders. I must have been seated in the fair-weather fan section because there were probably only 20 people left around my section by the time the game came to a close. I was fortunate enough to sit next to a group of faithful last season. But to be honest, the boo's were necessary because a very large fire needs to be lit under everyone's asses!

Apparently you missed the mid-80's. But yes, we're in trouble. Pouncey, Foote and Stephens-Howling are done for the year. With Pouncey gone there is no O-line. Ben is going to be dead by week 8. On the bright side Dwyer will likely be resigned after Stephens-Howling got hurt. :gaah:

I've heard Dwyer was resigned or will be today...I would cut Redman today while I was at it....team needs to be jolted a bit.

I fail to see how that is "on the bright side"... That would be a mistake if you ask me. You can't replace a 3rd down RB with another downhill runner like Dwyer. That would put them in the same boat as last season. It would be smarter to bring back Baron Batch to fill LSH's void or let Felix fill that spot (even Alexander off of PS). The only reason they would want to resign Dwyer would be to replace Redman, or to fill Felix's spot if they move him to 3rd down duties.

Suisham has a hammy & could be out for a few weeks. Shayne Graham might be signed.

I don't recall any season of the past where this many injuries cropped up in the first month and a few weeks of the season. Bell, Pouncey, Foote, Stephens-Howling, C. Allen and Suisham all hurt in less than four weeks of one another with only one real game in the books. Not to mention.. But three of those six are done for the season. :L

Colbert needs to scrub the FA pool hard today and find another center and ILB. I imagine Baxter is going to get promoted from the practice squad, unless there is an answer from outside the team.

STEVENSON SYLVESTER should be a serious thought at ILB. He knows the system, has played in the system, and can contribute in a big way.

He would be another option if still available as a free agent. The combination of Baxter's strong showing in the pre-season, and Sylvester's camp injury really put Stevenson behind. Maybe they can pick him up?

I said in another thread...we will have to go all the way back to 1988 to see a record as bad as the one we are about to have this year.

When does preseason end?

Is it too soon to start the "lay down for the Clown'" talks???

Just kidding, but I'll give it a few more weeks before my optimism runs out.
