I am not taking anything away from the clinic that peyton put on last night, but yes that play was huge. If the officials had got it right or it had been challenged no first down, no TD, at least that drive, and maybe the ravens defense doesn't get so gassed.

I think people don't always realize how just a few things going one way or another can create huge swings in results in games being played at the nfl level. You look any blowout and in the vast majority of the cases you are going to see a play or 2 that, if it didn't happen that way, the results of the game could have been greatly different.

I am not saying the ravens would have won and clearly they had more than enough time to recover and didn't, but yes, that was a big play.

The saying that momentum can change on one play is very true at any level of football...but in that case, as you've agreed, there was way too much football remaining to say "if" this happens, "maybe" things would've gone another way.

If it was mid to late in the 4Q...okay I can see how the momentum change would be tough to overcome on the road, but if I'm not mistaken BAL was leading 17-14 @ the half in spite of the blown call and it could've been a larger lead as they had the ball 1st dwn on the 6 with half a min left.

If the pats hadn't blown out both the texans and the manning led broncos last year, I would try to take you a little more seriously (they didn't play the bengals but the dolphins beat cincy in cincy last year so I am not on board that train).

I know what the all time record is between our two teams and the only thing that counts was what happened last until the next game which is why I said the last couple of years and what happened did not turn out well for the broncos

I don't really care what YOU think and your team certainly hasn't proven they can back you up, at least not yet.

Pfftt 10 points is a blowout ?? I suppose it is to a team that has always been lucky to inch their way through a Superbowl by 3 points. Sounds more like lucky than good to me.

feel free to hang on to what happened last, I'm more interested in what happens next. I'll be looking forward to November, although I think that if the pats finished 4-12, their fans would still insist they are the best team in the league but were just somehow cheated out of their rightful place.

Interesting to see that every football media site there is has expressed some level of amazement at the results of last nights game. Every single pats fan on this board however has basically described it as ordinary at best. keep that in mind November 24th, I doubt your team is even half as good as Baltimore.

I have seen this type of offense before, I believe it was NE. So ya, I thought it was ordinary. The media loves Manning dick, so of course they were all over how awesome he was....

A Pat's fan criticizing another QB for being a media darling? Now I've seen it all.

Yup, lets just ignore that it was 31-7 with 5 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter. Wouldn't want the facts to get in the way of a good story.

BTW the pats have had 2 losing seasons in the last 19 years. I am sure another one is going to happen again at some point, but I wouldn't be holding my breath.

How have the broncos done since Elway stopped playing under center?

That actually is shocking.:what: I guess that means that you dont like any good or successful QBs because they all get blown by the media constantly.

What's ESPN supposed to do here though? It was the opener, there have been no other games, everyone watched it last night, and regardless of what anyone says, it was an all time performance. It's their job to talk about it.

wishful thinking...the pats have never passed for 7 touchdowns in a game before. Like I said earlier, it was only a matter of time before homer reinforcements arrived to gang support the patriot way.

Love the people who rip the Pats for winning SB by only 3 points! LOL....you know they teams they played were pretty good themselves. They were there for a reason. NE back then was known for their defense, not offense. I would rather have a good close game, then a blow out. A blow out means nothing to me in a SB. IN the end, you want the trophy....no one remembers the score, except for haters.

So its the 7 TD's that make ya wet?? We have put up numbers like that before, be we can actually run the ball. Like I said, you can have your stats, Ill take the win no matter what....Congrats on your 7 TD's!!!

Well some might say it its "wishful thinking" the broncos can win with peyton against the pats because they haven't been able to manage it yet, but that isn't stopping you from being sure of it.

BTW you do know you are a fan of a team who's qb did win a SB and he threw 3 TD's and 7 interception on that run to do it? I will take the 3 points.

I agree about the Media, just yesterday afternoon it was all about Geno Smith...LOL, so ya I am glad it is actually about a real game. I said I don't like Brady, never said he was not good. He is a whinny bitch, just like Manning, Rodgers and Brees....but they are all GREAT QB's.

Since you are the one salivating over the possibility, I think you are the one that is supposed to be holding your breath if you think its going to happen sooner rather than later. I think that is how it works.

Since it has happened so rarely over the past 2 decades I think you would be wasting your time, but that is just me; knock your self out:noidea:
