DMC at the back of the 3rd??? Yowzers!

I see. Good luck to you! Remember, no praising my team here, I know your sneaky strategies! Hopefully, since we're in separate leagues, it won't work!! :)

Nah, no sneakiness here, this is smash mouth! :suds:

Jesus, I just don't get it. I don't even have him in my top 20 RBs, let alone top 20 overall players. If I want someone who can miss 4+ weeks and get me 667 yards and 3-4 TDs for the season, I'll wait until the late rounds and grab Shonn Greene or something.

#8 and I don't like my team.

QB- RGlll- I wanted Wilson or Kaepernick
RB- Rice- Did several mocks at #8 and got McCoy every time. Not so lucky in the real draft
RB- Miller- Gamble but there wasn't much left
WR- Bryant- Again I got Green at this spot in almost every mock
WR- Bowe- I'm hoping he can put together a solid season. I am not expecting anything huge
Flex- Mathews- If he stays healthy he has good value where he was taken
TE- Gates- After the first two I felt like all other TE's were a crapshoot
DST- Seahawks- The only starting pick I like
K- Bailey- One kicker is as good as the next

Bench
WR- Austin- Bad pick. Everyone I had targeted was gone
DST- Bears- Took two good dst. Not smart
QB- Dalton- Hopefully he's consistant to balance out RGlll who may or may not play the whole season
RB- Stewart- He's burned me everytime he's been on my team. This is another time I had trouble navagaing the espn draft.
TE- Pettigrew- See Dalton analysis

Good luck everyone. Once again no other draft can prepare you for the MBBRL draft. I think the Seahawks dst is the only pick that fell to the spot I expected. You guys did a great job of picking every player I wanted before my pick.

I think it's more based off of his potential points per game. I go CJ1K over DMC for RB 2 this year all day every day. I see the potential in DMC, and if he's gonna play through the nagging injuries, it will be in a contract year. Might not miss as many games as in the past when he's working for that 2nd payday.

Honestly at 24 and 25 I had DThomas and either Gore, Bell, Murray or DMC targeted, so I did get Gore and Bell but was suprised to see Murray gone already........

is that a good yowzers or i can believed you picked him there you putz yowzers?

that's a good yowzers... I understand his injury history, but talent is talent.

that would be me who nabbed him at 20 (knowing Treff had him queued)... I understand his injury history, but I still consider his game to game talent top five.

It's not as big a difference as it might look, Sox. McFadden was the 14th RB in the A league and the 18th in the B league. The RBs went crazy fast in the A league.

The value for McFadden is not his seasonal points but his weekly points. When healthy he's a legit RB1, so if no legit RB1s are left you can take what you get from him and try to fill in the weeks when he's out, rather than muddling along with a mediocre every-week back for the whole year.

Chef, not sure if you've seen any preseason games? But I was watching the 2nd Chargers game and Mathews looks like a different runner. Running with a burst and downhill. (Averaging 6.0 ypc in preseason.) Didn't look like a guy that was coming off of 2 shoulder injuries. I bumped him up my charts a little after seeing how well he was running.

I'm hoping...had high hopes for him last year too, and then he started fumbling...and then Norv did what Norv does...and then he got hurt. We shall see! :noidea:

Funny, I like it..............was gonna wait on RGIII but no way he would make it back to me so I took Kaps at the 4-5 turn. Miles Austin is a pretty damn good value pick where you got him just as long as he is healthy.

im hoping the contract year.. the change to zone blocking to help him along.. i also think ingram will have a biger year this year so he might go to the rb2 and swtich out mcfadden.. will have to wait to see how it all shakes out..

I'd DEFINITELY take CJ1K over him without a moment's hesitation. He has 0 injury history and IMO has been an exponentially better player when both are healthy.

Honestly at 24 and 25 I had DThomas and either Gore, Bell, Murray or DMC targeted, so I did get Gore and Bell but was suprised to see Murray gone already........

Not liking DThomas at all. I imagine he will be buried soon. He just doesn't seem to bring much to the table. Bell is a great choice. I know right now he's a "co-starter" but it will not be long before he's the main guy. I'd say he's a shoe-in for 10+TDs.

that would be me who nabbed him at 20 (knowing Treff had him queued)... I understand his injury history, but I still consider his game to game talent top five.

I don't think you can make that assertion anymore. His talent level now, with all of the injuries he's had, is not what it was when he was a rookie. Even when he's "healthy" now, he has lost a step and doesn't run with the same power he used to with his shoulder issues. He is also not in a good offense for him to flourish, as the box will be stacked quite a bit. I'd say the only other "starting" RBs I'd take DMC over at this point would be whomever starts for the Jets, Cardinals, Chargers and Colts.

A league, 4th spot

Eli Manning - 8
Arian Foster - 1
Chris Johnson - 2
Vincent Jackson - 3
Victor Cruz - 4
Mike Wallace - 6
Jermichael Finley - 10
CLE DST - 13
Sebastian Janikowski - 14

Joe Flacco - 12
Daryl Richardson - 7
Bilal Powell - 11
Jacquizz Rodgers - 9
Rob Gronkowski - 5

Notes: Got a few guys that I was targeting (CJ1K, DRich, VJax), and missed on at least 4-5 that I wanted. Thought I was a lock to get Newton in the 5th, and then Luck/Wilson in the 6th, but got beat out on all of them. When it came down to Stafford, Romo, or Eli, I just waited for Eli. Did something I wouldn't do in a money league draft - Gronkowski in the 5th round. Could be awesome, or he could stay hurt for most of the season. Knowing I'd have to back him up with someone decent, was kinda disappointed to not land Jordan Cameron in the 10th. I stocked up on late round RBs in hopes to find some gold (DRich/Rodgers/Powell??), Wallace could go nuts if MIA is playing from behind frequently, he is by far the best option for T-hill, especially with Keller gone.

I think I'll be able to compete with the Foster/CJ1K duo leading the way.

Still mostly on topic, Will and I each had the 10 spot in our 2 drafts (Suicide and this one) and ended up with 2 WAY different teams after our first 2 picks (we each took Megatron and Marshall). Now the fact that I'm higher on Gore than most (seems like the gift that keeps on giving) could have something to do with him being gone for Will's 3rd round pick (the way RB's were flying I'd have to say BS though). Now there have been some injuries to WR's but I'm just curious as to what you guys might think as to why so different...................

TKO Spikes has Spiller/McFadden/Lacy/Bradshaw. When McFadden is healthy that's a tough top 3; when McFadden is out it might be rough for him depending on how Bradshaw is doing (his bench WRs look like poor flex options).

Oh I meant for both leagues. I did a live draft on Saturday and he came off the board in the 5th round.

Even when he's healthy though, he's not what he used to be. 3.3 YPC isn't what you want from an RB1. He played 12 games last year and only had 3 games over 100, and only hit 10+ fantasy points in 6 of those 12 games. For example, look at 2010 and 2012, the only 2 seasons he has even been able to come close to 200+ carries -

2010: 223 carries, 1157 yards, 7 TD - This is good RB2 stuff to me, but low-end RB 1 at best.
2012: 216 carries, 707 yards, 2 TD - That is an enormous drop off, and it's because his body is slowing down.

For my money, and especially in the first 2 rounds, there is just way too much value to pass up for this sort of production.

Sox, I think most of us are attributing his 2012 numbers to that ill-conceived zone-blocking scheme. The Raiders are back to the power-blocking scheme that suits him, so some are looking at his earlier numbers, and accounting for a handful of missed games.

Sox, I think your putt8ng too much stock int9 last season, where he was a downhill runner, stuck in a zobe blocking system, with a line that didn't know how to zone block.
DMC is legit top 5 when healthy and in a straight forward power run game..period
