This guy is looked decent in his first game, not sure he's 100% yet. Has long strides.
Looks like he has a ton of potential!

VERY excited for him. I hope he can really develop as an OLB.

Office mate at work is a Noles homer. Swears by this kid and thinks he will take a starting role in the Skins defense within two years. I think its a reach to say that depending on if we resign rak. But kid looks like he has the goods if he can get and stay healthy.

Oh I think he was a good pick, especially where we got him. Is he an all around OLB for a 3-4 defense?? I dont think so. But he is a damn good pass rusher from what i have seen, and I look forward to seeing him, Rak and Kerrigan on the field at the same time.

he does have all around skills . he might be our best value pick in the draft

maximizing him especially this early could be a challenge. I thought I read somewhere Kerrigan took snaps at DE once or twice. Could Kerrigan float there from time to time? he's not that much smaller than Watt right?

Kerrigan was a DE in college. So he is used to playing with his hand in the dirt. And putting more pass rushers on the field at once is never a bad thing. It will just come down to if we can get to the QB and protect our young/ some what sketchy secondary.

we really scored there. If he gets the same amount of snaps in the Pitt game, I know he'll sack Roethlisberger.
Jenkins' motor never stopped. a spin or some sort of inside counter and he looks like a constant QB pressure guy

Kerrigan lined up at DT on our 1st sacks of the nite . i think you could see him and Rak both putting their hand on the ground with jenkins and even jackson too coming from the outside

i fully expect that once the suspensions are over that all 4 could get in on passing downs :10:

oh and get this jenkins could put his hand down too

Much needed pass rush depth. Rob Jackson is probably gone after this season. And Jenkins provides an added dimension with he, Rak, and Clark Kent on the field together in obvious passing situations.

I have said all along to move Kerrigan inside on passing downs.

They've experimented with moving guys around in practice. Think we even saw Kerrigan in the inside in the first preseason game on a play or two.

Having more skilled pass rushers definitely opens up the possibilities.

Funny you mention this since I saw an interview with Freeny last week about his move to OLB vs DE. He specifically talked about the difference between the two and how it's a big change that takes time to adjust. When someone like Kerrigan and Orakpo move from being a DE in college to an OLB role, I love any D scheme to get them on the line to use their power and speed against the OL. It puts them back into a comfort zone and allows them to do what they do best. Lastly, by putting their hand in the dirt it gives us an opportunity to bring someone like Jenkins to the outside for even more athleticism. I believe the Giants use to do something similar when they would have a DL full of DE's.
