Tough break for Colby. Wish him speedy recovery for sure.

What about Nick Tepesch? Haven't heard nary a peep about him lately. Is he returning this season?

Yep it just makes to much sense
It would take some stones from both GM's to pull the trigger on such talented kids, but I think both the players and teams would benefit from the deal. An OF with Tavares and Martin and an IF with Kinsler, Andrus and Beltre? With that pitching staff? Holy Cow

I doubt we'll see Tepesch unless another starter goes down. Doesn't really have a place in the bullpen so just needs to stay in AAA if he comes back from his injury.

Tepesch is an interesting pitcher IMO. I could see him turning into a solid 12-14 winner

Hanging out on the DL and on the dugout rail next to Holland or Darvish most nights. Great gig for a 24yo.

Fantasy Baseball Player Injury Updates | MLB.com: Fantasy

He'll get some workouts shortly and get activated after 1 Sep. Anything earlier than that and they have to roster shuffle. He and Harrison will get activated in September.

Think TEX may just try out a 7-man rotation or skip stuff all around to get work in and make sure the top 5 are rested for the stretch run in about a month.

Tepesch, if he's healthy, probably gets dangled as trade bait in the offseason for a bat. Just surprised there's been so little news about him.

He does have solid Fip and Xfip. Could be a #3 starter in his career

Well anybody could be a secondary piece. Gentry would be a good secondary piece too. I'm saying he wont get us anything if he's headlining a package.

I don't think the intent was that he would headline the package

I'm really fine with seeing Tepesch go. Our rotation isnt elite (yet?) but it is young enough for me to say that there is hardly any more room for starters that aren't power arms. I bet we could throw a package together involving tep and get a decent bat with our prospects

I personally think we would be better served signing someone like Choo, than selling the farm for some of the other guys

Perfect. Filling COF spots ought to not take as much thought or capital as some would profess.

Stanton: .245 .364 .466 .829
Choo: .281 .416 .461 .877

Now... where do you think a rational GM might start?

About where I just said, plus choo has been pretty durable to this point, and he gets on base like crazy, I think he would be an ideal #3 hitter in lf

For someone more knowledgeable, how far away is Alfaro? 2 years? Wondering if we try and bridge AJ another couple of years or offer McCann 3-4. Thanks
