As much as it pains me to say, Oakland certainly looks to win the Division....and sadly I don't know a AL team (yes I know it's June) that looks like they can beat 'em.
that's where I'm at, hoping some other AL team gets hot enough to beat them in the first round.
Maybe Toronto if they can keep this up. Detroit? Not this year.
anyway, June...I know
I'd take Detroit's playoff success against Oakland anyday of the week. Verlander and Scherzer can take over the game at any moment.
Still hoping for my FBB team that Verlander doesn't have shoulder or elbow problems with his drop in velocity and his higher than normal walk rate
I just checked, his velocity seems to be back up
Well. I guess we A's fans have to settle for 2 of 3, although I and I can only assume most Oakland fans fully expected a sweep.
Now, go do us a solid and get a couple from the Halos would ya? Not too much to ask. Although I am not confident in the Ranger bullpen after Oakland wore them out a bit.
Good Luck vs LA...![]()
Why on earth were you expecting a sweep? Last time the rangers were in Oakland they won all 3 games. I expected to lose the series, but not get swept based on the pitching matchups.
Because the only legit chance at winning was game 1 which you did. Pomeranz melted down. Had been good up to then.
I chalk up a W when I see Darvish vs Oakland nowadays.
Man, you have just got to love this A's team.
Reddick gets placed on DL, call up Nate Feiman, give him a chance at 1st with a start.
And what does he do? Only hits a 3 run game winning HR. That's all.
This completes another sweep.
51-30, the best record in baseball.
I take it.
