I'm not impressed with this team at all...... We're 8-5 against them! and you can attribute 2 of the 5 losses to minor leaguers Grimm and Lindblom. They seem like a gimmicky team that takes borderline pitches and hopes the umpire is calling a tight game so they can get a lot of walks. In addition, most of their guys would rather take a close pitch with 3 balls rather than swing at it even if they have 2 strikes. Their fans are assholes... They booed Nelson Cruz because of PEDs, but conveniently overlook the fat toad in their own dugout who didn't pitch this series. The stadium is a shithole ( literally) they had to dress in the raiders locker room a few times because of sewage leaks.

My only explanation for them being ahead is...... They are fortunate. Our team has had the highest amount of injured players this year and they never seem to suffer any injuries. They seem to catch teams at the right time when they either aren't playing well or the other team is throwing their worst pitchers. Hopefully their luck runs out and they start losing more.....:gaah:

They are the luckiest damn team there is. And anytime we play them their pitchers seem to get a strike zone big enough to drive a small car through and our pitchers get squeezed.

You said it all. I am still wondering how they get to this point in the season without a key injury. Every team has a few.

I echo your sentiments. Let's hope the cream eventually rises to the top and the chaff separates from the wheat. While Texas might not eventually be the cream or the wheat, I don't think Oakland will be either. Their problems will be exposed in the playoffs like usual. There are other teams I hate, but I also respect their talent level. The A's somehow scrape together wins off the backs of fringe players. Maybe they will one day have to play their games in place that is actually fit for baseball.

That's all you got? So much for the really great, class and educated baseball fans St. Louis is supposed to have.

Here are some pics from the SF Chronicle on the Oakland A's. Seems they like to play dress up:

Did he play at all this season?

He's never healthy

Rangers have had injuries to Kinsler the starters, yet still in this thing

The question is whether the A's had any significant injuries, Brett Anderson is a good pitcher and the A's are better off with him than without him,

It wasn't whether the Rangers injuries were more significant, or how much Brett Anderson played this year or last

Of course I'm prone to being not objective about this...but I'm still right about him, there's no bigger Cardinals fan than my own Father, he would NEVER EVER say anything like that to a Rangers fan, not even cloaked in anonymity.
He lives in CUBS territory and doesn't even engage in that crap with Cubs fans.

he's been watching this game long enough to know, if you're on the other side of a heartbreaker, count your blessings...enjoy it, because your own heartbreaker is always around the corner.

Go Rangers!
