Poor Mavs can't catch a break in free agency in the last couple years...

Well, I'm not letting GS get Iggy and THEN get Dwight for just one or the other. The leverage the Lakers have is telling GS that they will let Dwight walk to Hou. for nothing. If they don't want to do both, then fine, we'll let him walk and prep for 2014 or 2015. Before they got Iggy, I would've been fine with Barnes OR Klay, now not so much. The fatal(or not so fatal) mistake GS made was signing Iggy BEFORE going after Dwight. They should've given Iggy assurances first, gone after Dwight, and THEN sign Iggy outright.

First off LA had nothing to do with Iggy going to GSW. Iggy may have been the piece Howard was waiting for. If Howard walks instead of Lakers doing a S&T then GSW picks him up for nothing.

Kold,

Houston still has the possiblity of landing both Smith AND Howard. If I'm the Lakers, I don't want that at any cost. I'd accept Barnes and Bogut in such a deal. The Lakers shouldn't get greedy here.

And they don't deserve any. They blew up a championship team and didn't have a plan b.

Trying to go "Winless for Wiggens"?
Now is when we are going to see if these superteams really are good for the NBA. We might have 10 teams tanking next year

LOL their Plan C and Plan D hasn't worked for them. Any way you spin it, an aging team like that couldn't afford to pay Tyson Chandler what New York paid him.

The only two teams I can see are in position to tank are the Sixers and Suns. Utah still has some elite young talent.

Yeah, but didn't Cuban basically brush off Deron Williams for a spot on a reality show?

At this point, i'd rather Smith and Dwight over Dwight, Lee, Splash bros., and Iggy. I get that the Lakers shouldn't be greedy, but I'll pass on just Barnes(as Bogut would be an expiring) just to stop WW3 from happening in GS.

I think you can tentatively add the Lakers and Mavericks to the list for now.

edit: Do the Lakers even have a 1st round pick?

Even with Iggy, GS ain't a sure thing. Curry and Lee get hurt a lot, and Iggy lacks a go-to scoring move...

Houston with Dwight, Harden, and Smith is downright scary anyway you look at it.

Adding Iggy might give golden state a 4 or 5 seed for sure!

Warriors are a 6th seed IMO. They couldn't afford to lose Jack & Landry.

Their bench is terrible right now....No depth at all.

It is pretty much Barnes/Thompson, Draymond, and festus (who sucks on offense)

NO you are wrong. They are a 5th seed at worse. We have a WHOLE offseason to fill out the bench. Plus losing Jack and Landry is not that bad since they Got Iggy. Barnes will be a nice 6th man, draymond green i like. IMO they are 5th seed until they get 2 bench players, a PF/Center and maybe a 2nd or 3rd string Point Guard.

Also the bench is not terrible having thompson or barnes off there is HUGE. While they added a star player

Iggy is not a star player. At best he is a solid role player.

They took a step backwards this offseason. If they would've kept either Landry or Jack while acquiring iggy, I would've said they took a step forward.

Jack and Landry was big time for them
