gotta be proved going into next season. Do these NBA players give a damn about winning championships? Or are they all about just collecting their paychecks?

As a competitor I would think there has to be some players (top all star players) out there that will get pissed that MIami is just buying their way to titles and no one within the league seems to do anything about it. As an All-Star if you cared about winning and were a FA, take your pay cut, go to OKC and team up with KD and Westbrook and start competing against the Heat. If the Heat can do it, get 3 all-stars, others should too.

But I am sure this will not happen because I am sure to these all-stars money is far more greater than winning a championship.

The Lakers have been buying titles for years.

BTW...there is this thing in the NBA called..... guaranteed contracts. You can't just "cut players" and add stars for less money to your team.

Not with Scott Brooks at Head Coach...

Lebron basically conned 3 superstars into playing for less, to improve Lebron's legacy....Now Lebron gets all the credit and endorsements, but without Wade, Bosh, And Ray Allen taking huge pay cuts, lebron never wins a title....

Ray Allen who won the title for Miami, could've made 3 times the amount on any other team. Wade and Bosh could've taken Max deals. Instead they play for less to support Lebron's legacy...

You have to wonder how much money is being passed around under the table. Why would Ray Allen play for the Heat for such little money?

Doesn't make sense.

How about because Ray Allen has been in the league for almost 2 decades and has saved enough money to live 50 lifetimes and provide all the security that his wife/kids/family will ever need?

Let me ask you this.
If one can't live (and this is just a random number, not what I think he has) on career earnings of 200M, then what makes you think that if they had earned 210M that it would make any difference.

That building was rocking last night. Ray was smiling ear to ear. You can't buy that feeling. You can't buy those memories. He sacrificed $$$ for the opportunity to be in that situation. Nothing more, nothing less.

Just another one of your alien conspiracy theories IMO.

I think if the teams showed loyalty to their players things would be different. If the owners are allowed to run their business like a business then why cant the players? :noidea:

Players have a right to the money.

I can only imagine if Lebron played in a sports oriented town, notably New York, how much more he could make. I am sure his next contract will be influenced by how much he can make.

Iverson said it best, "he has no respect for those guys who just latch onto team to win titles"...I agree with that. Any star can take minimal money to go to a team stacked like the Heat. What does it prove.

Ray Allen couldn't get it done in Boston, (except 1 year) so he ran to another allstar team. I just don't respect that.

So I guess Dwight Howard and Chris Paul should sign 1 year contracts for the minimum to play with the heat to get rings? Would you respect Howard and Paul if they did that?

That's what Ray allen did.

You are comparing apples to oranges. Allen wasn't looking at a max type contract. A few million means less to him then finishing his career hopefully playing for championships.

He can't stand Rondo. His name was thrown around in trades for his last 2 seasons there. He didn't want to not start over Avery. He felt disrespected there. Plain and simple.

He was out of Boston regardless of what they offered him.

He was thinking Heat or Clippers. Clippers signed Crawford before he even met with Clippers, so his mind was made up for him.

No, i draw a line somewhere. I love kg and everythimg he stands for but too much of thst respecg comes from his hatred of every thing not his team. Unfortunstely he was on the cs first. I could accept literrLy any team besides cs and bulls

The ONLY thing that matters is winning. Obviously LBJ doesn't care about the money abd he wants to win and be the greatest.

He is on the right path. So you are criticizing a guy for wanting to win instead of being like a greedy bastard.

And teams have tried the trio. Lakers failed horribly. Nets failed.

But if LA wins Kobe is the greatest and the Lakers are perfect. You guys are brainwishing by Kobe the rapist.
