It is kind of like after college football seaso and you have to wait for bowl games, but the NBA version. IT SUCKS!

At least in College Football, both teams are equally rusty after 6 weeks.

The only other time a team had to wait so long for a finals was the 2001 Lakers. The 76ers (of course) took that game versus a very rusty Laker squad.

Luckily for 2001 LA, they were just infinitely better than 2001 Philly.

SA is not infinitely better than either Indiana or Miami.
The rust is a huge disadvantage.

I am hoping and praying this series only goes 6 games to equal out the rust somewhat.

SPURS are falling asleep.

The cobwebs and rust will be about 2 feet thick by the time the finals start next week.

10 days will tie the longest period of waiting in playoff history.

The Spurs were playing better than they have in 5 years....now they get to watch that momentum and edge get dulled.

thanks nba scheduling.

Way to let the Spurs play 2 games before the ECFinals even started.

I cannot wait to send Stern packing into irrelevance.

What does this have to do with NBA scheduling? The schedule for the conference finals are fine. Outside of the long layoff between Games 2 & 3 which actually helped the Spurs because if it was the normal 1 day off between games, The Spurs would have been of 12 days instead.

It is not the NBA fault that the Spurs swept their series and that the Heat series is still going on. This series is going 6 games so which means the earliest they could of started the finals would have been tuesday which would still be an 8 day layoff for the Spurs. Blaming the NBA for this is stupid

What could the NBA have done? Would you have liked them to not give the ECF any days off between games just because the Spurs swept the series?

It happens in every sport that have a playoffs series. If you sweep your series while the other series go 6 or 7 games, you will be off a decent amount of time.

The WCF started a few days earlier than the ECF for some reason. I think game 3 of the WCF was played 1 day after game 1 of the ECF

No it was not. The NBA gave the WCF 3 days off last week so the conference finals can be on track w/each other.

Spurs/MEM played SUN/TUE and did not play again until Saturday. The ECF started on Wednesday and game 2 was on Friday so after 2 games the conference finals were on track with each other.

Can't blame the NBA for the Spurs sweeping.
