Bobcats reverting back to Hornets

Report -- Charlotte Bobcats to become Hornets again - ESPN

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte Bobcats owner Michael Jordan is changing his team's name to the Hornets, said a person familiar with the situation.
The person said Jordan will detail the timetable for the change to be completed at a press conference the Bobcats have scheduled for Tuesday. The person spoke to The Associated Press Monday on condition of anonymity because the name change has not been publicly announced.
NBA deputy commissioner and COO Adam Silver previously said it would take "about 18 months" for the Bobcats to change their name. That means Charlotte could once again become the Hornets by the 2014-15 season.

I just don't get the problem. Miami can be the Hurricanes, New Orleans should be the Hurricanes over the stupid Pelicans. FEMA is always late about giving money and aid, they are so stupid they would donate to the teams..win win.

Which sounds like a more menacing name? Thunder or Tornado..granted the timing of the change is wrong but I think Thunder is just a lame attempt at having a SuperSonic boom. Everywhere gets Thunder, not everywhere gets Tornado's.

Well if Seattle ever gets a NHL team I wouldn't be opposed to the Volcano's or something to do with Mt Rainier even though it will cause massive damage...

But Hornets fits Charlotte alot better than the Bobcats, N.O. just doesn't fit the NBA.

They'll go back to the old uniforms, it's the trend lately, the Sixers, Warriors among other teams did it already, just modernized it.
