and the Royals since their switch at Batting Coach, continues to impress...doubles and stolen bases...just like the Cardinals (26th in HR's)...now the switch of Yost next..ASAP. Running down of a wild card and then the Shields/Santana/Chen or Duffy with that bullpen would even be more formitable than last years Oakland team with a better offense.

Since you like cherry-picking stats, here's one for ya: The Royals are 17-4 against the Twins. That means they are 52-60 against everyone else. Guess what... you don't play Minnesota any more this season. Consider this season a success if you can finish strong enough to win 85 games and catch Cleveland.

The tigers have always handled the a's in the playoffs just fine. Why are you worried about them anyhow? Your teams wont even be in the playoffs and you are concerned about the tigers losing a series. The athletics dominated the tigers and hats off to them. It happens to all teams. The Tigers had an awful series against the Angels at the start of September last season -- swept in 3 games and only scored 5 total runs. They wound up finishing 13-7, overtaking the White Sox, and going to the World Series.

In 2011, there was a 3-game series vs. the Mets where the Tigers gave up 35 runs. Even had to put Don Kelly on the mound for an inning. That Tigers team won 95 games and went to the ALCS.

This one bad series vs. the A's should be no more than an insignificant bump in the road when all is said and done after 162 games.

The royals have shields and a bullpen, gordon and sometimes hosmer. There is not one player on he royals that scares me. I like the royals, i really do i have been pulling for them all year but the atlhletics are much better. I really like duffys potential, but im not concerned about him. Theres always next year. I still like them to place second in al central.

Except multiple on here have said Cabrera could end up 'the best ever'....that's a lot more extreme than just saying 'one of the best ever,' wouldn't you agree?

Someone on here claimed 'Cabrera's the best hitter he's ever seen,' and that Cabrera will 'probably be the best RH hitter ever'...if his career numbers at this point aren't as good as Pujols' and Thomas' at the same point, how does that make Cabrera the best hitter he's ever season?

It's claims like these that tend to be homerish.

I know gvsu....im a homer cuz i say the tigers are good....which they ARE......but anyone that knows me on here knows the die hard lions fans on here say i never say anything positive about the lions....they were 4-12..,,.the wings are good.....the pistons suck.....sparty football needs offense has an easy schedule.....sparty hoops is great....another title and they will be elite.

I said that....puljols was the best hitter i ever seen....im 42........but i believe miggy will pass him easily.....i got the best rh hitter ever from alot of places. Seen it on tv. Heard hawk harrelson say it....the guys on mlb tonight said it......i wouldnt had just brought up best rh hitter....i never even thought about all the old great hitters being lh.....but its my opinion......whys it a big deal.....miggys playing at 75 percent and still crushing it.
