Yeah, I believe he was trying to break up a double play (even thought there was no chance of getting Davis at 1st), but he was still in the air at the bag with spikes up, and going at the knees. You can end a guy's career like that.

The warnings are getting a little out of control. Edinson Volquez got a warning last night for plunking Pedroia, no way he did it on purpose. As much as I hate watching SlowPitch Softball. I've liked the fire the last few days. Hopefully somebody throws up by Miggy or Prince's heads tonight, but it would probably be Santiago, Kelly or Jackson. And to be honest, JV getting a six game suspension for hitting a guy wouldn't bother me.(Assuming he does) I'd respect the effort, (Also could intentionally walk Rasmus, then throw to first 15 times while Fielder vigorously applies the tag.)and he could prolly use a little rest.

I broke my code. Put vcash down on the Teegrows to win, and the over. Our bullpen screwed me last night, didn't give up enough runs. And I figured the over was a shoe-in when Rondon came in.

Back to baseball. Seems like the Arizona has a real problem at closer. They can't decide if it's J.J. Putz or Heath Bell. I only know this because they are on my fantasy team......Seems ole Mr. Kirk Gibson is going to have to grow a pair and make a decision. Neither look good. (no pun intended)
The D-backs need as much help at closer as we do.....Maybe we make something work with them.

Or we beat them to the punch, and get K-Rod. I don't want Henderson, hear the Dbacks have interest though. Axford I'd be torn about, as a fan, I like him. But he's been awful at times...

I know the 'head in the sand' boys can't read this...but I strongly suggest staying away from both Putz and Bell. The only bullpen guys worth anything in AZ are Brad Ziegler and Josh Collmenter (MI kid).

BTW...Gibson did an awful job with his pen yesterday.

so smitty you still got sale and peavy as a better 1, 2 than JV and max Although I would've never guessed it would be max as the definite number one while JV is holding them back. Looks like jv is turning the corner though hopefully

I'd rather have Sale than Max, if we're comparing current #1s. The past calendar year has been tremendous for Scherzer. But when it comes to winning me over, too little, too late. A complete game somewhere in his career would have helped. His birthday is right around the corner, and then right after that, his payday. My dream of seeing him dealt for an actual top tier middle infielder, is over. We'll probably just get another slow footed plodder, who Leyland can sit back and wait on for three run homers that will never come.
