Porcello's suspension is somewhat without weight. he will appeal and it will be heard the next time they are in Ny (early August). This is what will happen.

Rick is scheduled to pitch on the wednesday before the break. He will then drop his appeal and serve his suspension the last 4 days of the regular season and the first 2 days after the break. he will of course still be docked six days pay . However since this suspension is a direct result of our senior citizen manager unable to keep his mouth shut (there will a price to be paid) the tigers will give porcello a little $$ to make up for it.

Agreed, but who foots the bill for Ricky with the back door money? Ilitch?

So we go around the merry go round and JL fucks up, Porcello gets back door money and Ilitch pays the price.

who does Alex Avila think he is. Goes down to toledo and in his first AB back goes the opposite way. that is not the JL/McClendon way. need to pull the ball, none of this fundamental baseball.

Porcello hit the batter before the warning was given......there should have been a warning given when Miggy was throwen at and then there may not have been a problem the next day.......

How can Porcello get 6 games for something that every pitcher on every team should be doing. He sent a warning to TB by hitting the batter square in the back. Porcello did not go after someone's head like Kennedy did, and he did not go after someones knees. IMO I have no problem with what Porcello did. Just a part of baseball.

Perhaps if Miggy and the Tigers did not make such a fuss about the pitch he received, there would not have been the need for Porcello to do anything. Sorry....but a lot of non Detroiters are saying that Miggy made a big deal about something that is just part of baseball. (I am guessing that Porcello's 6 game susp will be reduced and that MLB is just trying to cool off this retaliation bit that is going around.)
