LOVE IT!!! one of my least favorite and thus favorite players. This guy is a total A-hole, and a perfect acquisition. He has skills, can hit, shoot, and kill people. Dirty, mean, and just right.

I have wanted this guy for probably 5 years. This is the best deadline deal dougie has made in forever!

Well...I will eventually learn to root for him (ugh). Good thing is, the Sharks PK is stellar now. He can go throwing his body around and if it earns him a 2 minute minor, Sharks PK will handle. My guess is Doug needed to replace the physicality lost from trading Murray/Clowe.

No to mention, he's been to the SCF twice and both years largely because he made nasty, but huge physical plays that hurt the sharks. We all hate him because he took out michalek in 06 and then was nasty again in 2011 with the nucks.

Other than the injury-shortened 2007-8 season, he also has double digit goals every year since he made it to the NHL, averaging 17.5 goals/ 82 games. That's nastiness and makes the sharks a really really tough team to play against.

The only thing I dont like is that the 3rd rounder is likely the one they got earlier, meaning it belongs to florida so it's a pretty high 3rd rounder, and I would rather dougie not sacrifice future. That said, this is the kind of guy who gets jumbo and patty off their lazy asses and fires up a team, for better or worse.

Another good thing that happened today is that Gaborik to CBJ deal that NYR made.

Frees up a ton of money that they can throw at Clowe to re-sign him, getting SJ the higher conditional pick.

Makes absolutely zero sense that you'd think Clowe is anywhere near the player Gaborik is, but whatever, works for us!

Well, Torres is a better option for the 4th line then Burish. If he stops the head hunting, which so far this year it looks like he has, he'll be a decient addition.

I may do the same. Until he scores or puts a solid lick on an opposing player, then I'll cheer. Then I'll hate him again. This guy has concussed so many players with head hits. That's a lack of respect for your opponent and for the game.

I hold Sean Avery in higher regards. Say what you will about Avery being a cancer and a bad teammate, but he never cheap shotted an opponent with intent to severely injure.
