Matty "Ice" has been throwing to the likes of Julio Jones, Roddy White and Tony Gonzales (#1 receiving corps in the NFL) for years. Has 1 playoff win (just like his twin Tony Romo). In his one playoff win, he almost gave the game away with 2 2nd half interceptions. And he blew it against the Niners at home with a 2nd half pick and fumbling a ball that was snapped directly at his hands.

Joe Flacco has been throwing to the likes of Anquan Boldin (the older version), Torrey Smith, Dennis Pitta, Derrick Mason (the really old version), T.J. Houshmandzadeh (the washed up version), Todd Heap & Mark Clayton. He has 8 playoff wins, and he put the ball in a perfect spot to get his team to the Superbowl last year (Lee Evans screwed him). Whereas Matty "Ice" lucked out that Pete Carroll saved his ass, Flacco had a potential SB appearence literally dropped, and there was nothing he could've done about it.

It's time people understood which one is the better QB.

:) I'm willing to wager that Joe has had more favorable field position over the span of his career, but yes, correctly or not, QBs are measured by wins. History may just remember Joe Flacco as a better signal-caller. For right now, it is certainly closer than it seemed in the regular season.

Joe Flacco pulls more miracles out of his ass... If Heath Evans doesn't drop a perfect pass last year this would be 2 Super Bowls in a row.

Which one has played with the better Defense for his entire career?

Matt Ryan is the better QB of the two, but Defense still wins championships. Matt Ryan has never had a defense capable of winning in the post season.

Defense doesn't win championships. The overall talent level of the entire team wins championships (and some luck). In '97, the Niners had the best defense in the NFL. However, after Rice & Hearst went down, their overall talent level dipped below that of Green Bay's.

The Atlanta Falcons have had at least as much overall non-QB talent as the Ravens have in their respective careers. But Flacco is a big-game QB like his divisional counterpart Ben Roethlisberger. Ryan is Tony Romo (another guy with great receivers who's put up a lot of great stats in meaningless games).

Take that! :fencing:

Matt Ryan >>> Joe Flacco

Agreed. I would take Ryan over Flacco any day. All though I do have to give Flacco some props for playing well lately. He's one of the more criticized QB's in the league and he deserves some credit.

11 TDs, Zero picks in the postseason.

Flacco > Ryan. Total passing yards in the regular season, is the stupidest barometer for QBs there is, and that's the #1 thing at which people look for some reason.

This...(not to you)whoever thinks a QB can do everything himself with a mediocre defense is an idiot. The face of the Ravens is Ray Lewis. Which defensive player is the face of the Falcons? Nobody...

Flacco also has Ray Rice to hand the ball off to. I would take Ryan over Flacco.
