Oh, I'm not late. I saw that one and had the same reaction, I just thought, it's Gallinari, not James, so whatever. ;) Seriously, I know it's been done before, but I saw it at a time where I felt like posting my thoughts.

I'm not the robot, you are.

BTW, what do you think it should be? A driving dunk, assist, or miss, rebound, and field goal? If you pick up your dribble, you shouldn't be able to dribble again. Bouncing it off the backboard, if not a shot, should be a "dribble" - and no, it's not a pass, IMO. If you passed to yourself otherwise, it would be a travel, right? Can you alley-oop yourself if the ball touches nothing?

NBA.com - RULE NO. 4-DEFINITIONS

Section XI-Field Goal Attempt
A field goal attempt is a player's attempt to shoot the ball into his basket for a field goal.

Since Gallinari is not attempting to to shoot it into his basket, but rather just bounce the ball off the backboard, it's not a field goal attempt. Thus there can't be a rebound if there isn't a field goal attempt.

I'm fine with either the way it is now, or missed shot + rebound + field goal made.

Wrong! Because it's Gallinari, it's even more impressive!

If someone who's not known to to something, does it, then it's more impressive.

If Tom Boerwinkle makes an assist, then that's just one of many.

The Art of the Interior Post Pass Gone From the NBA? | Shoot Hoops

+++++++++++++++

But if Yinka Dare makes an assist (he had 4 assists in 110 games spanning 1002 career minutes), then break out the champagne and make a viral video!

If Eric Bledsoe blocks a shot, so what, he does it a lot for a guard. But if Earl Boykins does it, drop what you're doing and run to the TV!

If Lebron James dunks, he does hundreds of them a year, it won't be remembered. But if Gallinari does it, make a documentary on it!

Ok, I know my post can be vivisected, because I know I don't follow it all the time, and I only apply it in certain situations. ;)

Then, it's a double dribble by principle. The defender is supposed to stop your dribble, he has, and now you may not dribble again, even off the backboard. I'm writing Stern a stern letter to let him know how I feel: I am PISSED!

You can watch the whole thing. After being "pissed," he's happy - because earlier in the bit he said there was no way to be sad playing the banjo.

Now post the original Karl Malone dunk which James is allegedly paying homage to.

Don't you know anything about posting clips on message boards? ;)

Maybe your robot batteries just need to be recharged.

Never will I fall to your demands!

Just kidding. I will if I want to, and you can't stop me!

0:20, 0:50, 1:02, 1:22 - times are estimates and they are not necessarily all of them.

I don't want to see clips of him dunking against the Bulls.

That's just a reminder of the series losses (even if they weren't from the Finals).

Bad clip.

On the plus side, the music in these clips actually seemed to fit.

Surely you've seen some YouTube clips, in which you like the video, but think the music selection was bad?

Hmm. I generally feel losing in the 1st round is worse than losing in the Finals.

On the other hand, it's hard to distinguish the losses in the 1st round, because there have been so many.

San Antonio: 1
LA Lakers: 1
Sacramento: 2
Dallas: 2
Houston: 1
Seattle: 1
Phoenix: 1
Golden State: 2

3 teams have defeated the Jazz in the 1st round, twice.

It's easy to distinguish losses to the Bulls, or losses in the NBA Finals.

Do you have the opposite? What teams have the Jazz beaten in the first round the most? Come on, Robot. You can't show us the losses without the wins! D'oh!

I don't want to look that up right now.

Also, it's more bad to lose in the 1st round, than the good it does in winning in the 1st round, since expectations are usually higher than winning in the 1st round.

I'm thinking that a long series in the 2nd round is the good equivalent of how bad it is to lose in the 1st round.

How many times do I have to tell you, when you make a post, you have to support it with clips!

I'm not as good of a Robot as you.

You have a great taunt. After you make a retort, or you batter someone (since robots batter humans because they're jealous of humans), you make your signature taunt, "Blasted!"

My response (I'm not going to call it a taunt), "I agree", isn't as good.

Exactly. So I wanted to know who was more bad to us more often. Come on, Robot, get to work!

Just kidding, I don't need the info, was just wondering.

Nah! To many clips already. To reply to your question, 1,000,000,000,000 times?

I'm not as good of a Robot as you.

I'm not a robot. I don't have your encyclopedic memory or persistence with stats. I like stats, but I use the computer... I'm not the computer.

Do you think the music in the Malone clip fit the video?

How would you rate the fit?

I watched it while my baby was asleep, so no volume. Turned it on just now for a bit. Sounds fine. Not the annoying stuff some have.

I really did stop watching as soon as I saw the 2nd Malone clip against the Bulls, for the aforementioned reasons (that it brought back bad feelings).

Also, I'm trying to limit myself to clips that are about a minute or shorter. So, your Steve Martin Drunk Test was fine, but that other one you posted in the same post, was too long for me, right now.

So, seeing the 2nd Malone clip against the Bulls also gave me a good reason to stop watching it, before I went over my preferred time limit for how long I want to spend watching clips on message boards right now.

But, perhaps you can help me out. Can you see if there are any more Malone clips against the Bulls, in the above video? If not, I'll watch it then. I'll go over my soft time limit, because I know it will then be worth watching. I'll probably at least feel good about watching the clip, when I'm done, as opposed to feeling angry about highlights against the Bulls (because it reminds me of the loss), as well as feeling angry about how much time I'm spending without doing something more productive.
