ANSWER: All-Star Game MVP.

Joke answer: NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player.

Two questions: How did you know this and why was that so important to him?

I knew it because of your clue.

I don't know why it was so important.

I liked Bill Russell in the Original Coors commercial, from a long time ago.

Mr. Wilbon, please tell me who wins the Atlantic Division. And keep in mind the following: over their past 32 games, the Nets are 20-12 while the Knicks are 15-17 (including having lost 5 of 7 to far inferior opponents, ex-Indy, who destroyed them). From this day forward the Knicks have the toughest remaining schedule, while the Nets have a much easier one. Knicks haven't beaten a playoff team on the road since DECEMBER 11th, and of their remaining 29 games, 17 of them are on the road, including 12 of which are against current playoff teams. Seeing all of that, aren't the Nets in good position to overtake the November title winners from MSG?

If you go back to either these chats or PTI or anywhere I run my mouth you'll see I picked the Nets and Sixers to be as good if not better than the Knicks...I KNOW I had the Nets being better than the Kincks. (Bynum deep-sixed the Sixers long ago)...This isn't a surprise that the Nets are about to catch the Knicks. I think the Nets have a better team, certainly a younger team, one with more balance...I don't think the Nets are a threat to the Heat and I don't even think Brooklyn can beat the Pacers, but they should win the Atlantic and force the Knicks down a peg in the Eastern Conference standings.

Can the Spurs win it all this year?
mike wilbon
(1:35 PM)

Hell yes. The Spurs are every bit as good as Miami right now and, to me, a little bit ahead of OKC...The Spurs are better than they were last year. Stephen Jackson and Boris Diaw have had an entire season with the team. Tiago Splitter and and the three-point bomber from North Carolina (I'm having a senior moment) are sooooo much better than a year ago. And K. Leonard is a young beast, a complete player who is going to cause matchup nightmares in the playoffs. PLUS, Tim Duncan is healthier, Tony Parker is absolutely in his prime...Manu Ginobili is a little off form, but he should be rested because Pop makes damn sure his guys aren't overly taxed going into the playoffs. I think the subtraction of Harden from OKC, plus all the other developments I mentioned with the Spurs will make San Antonio a smidge better than the Thunder this year. Plus--and I've been around the Spurs a little bit recently--they seem on some kind of mission since losing to OKC last year. There's a determination about them I like...

He promised his dad he would win it before the game. I don't know if he was close to him, if his dad liked basketball, or what.

Last Week: 23 More about the Hornet we can't stop writing about: Elias says Greivis Vasquez is one of only three players in NBA history to lead their team in assists (either outright or tied) in each of the first 60 games of the season.

We should trade for him! Just kidding, but you know how I like consistency plus assists... Unless he lead with four often... ;)

Walton
Walton

Luke Walton had a career-high 12 assists in the Cleveland Cavaliers' loss to the New York Knicks. Bill Walton's most assists in any NBA game was 14, on Feb. 1, 1975 while playing for Portland. The only other father/son duos in NBA history to each have a dozen-assist game are Rick and Brent Barry; Henry and Mike Bibby; and Jimmy Walker and Jalen Rose.

Can you please explain to me why Deron Williams (18.08 PER), who is playing through tremendous pain and injury limitations, gets criticized to no end, while Paul George (17.06 PER) gets mentioned as an All-NBA candidate?

Mar 25 Roberts doubled his career high with 18 assists Monday in a 110-86 win over Denver.

Advice: Roberts, a rookie making his second start, had 11 assists by halftime, two more than his previous best. He also scored 13 points in an astounding effort.

The Board of Governors has to review the financial viability, and that happens at the Board of Governors meeting just after the regular season.

That's why they can't say it now.

For example, Minnesota's relocation was rejected in 1994 due to financial uncertainty of the Top Rank ownership group.

Minnesota Timberwolves failed relocation to New Orleans - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

That probably won't be the case with the Hansen-Ballmer group though. But the Board Of Governors have to review it all the same.

There is also the possibility that Mayor Johnson of Sacramento can pull together an ownership group, along with the arena plan that the Maloofs backed out of last year. That's what Mayor Johnson is trying to do right now, anyways. He's been putting together local buyers, as well as re-opening talks with AEG from the arena plan last year.

Seattle didn't have an arena plan in 2008, at least nothing that the city agreed to.

Sacramento had an arena plan that the city agreed to, and AEG agreed to, and the Maloofs had initially agreed to, only to change their minds. (They said they didn't want to pay for pre-development costs, nor sign a 30 year lease).

Sacramento council approves NBA Kings arena deal -They still need the owners to reject the Seattle deal. I didn't remember until now, but I met Ballmer when I was in law school. He was pushing for some education tax (for elementary school use).

Could be two huge losses tonight, Mavs and Lakers. If only the Jazz could TAKE one in Portland tomorrow.

#NBArank player ratings

No Jazz members in from 11-30 ranked players. I guess that means all our stars are top ten. ;)

You know, this should either be a miss, offensive rebound, and field goal or a double dribble. That's what he did. But this play-by-play says it's just a driving dunk. The NBA should adjust this, if not for anything else but to show more people what LeBron James did.

Reminds me of that thing that Ricky Davis did against the Jazz trying to get a triple double by missing on the Jazz end of the court on purpose and "rebounding" it. It was taken as a taunt of our inability to make baskets in the blowout but later found to just be a selfish move in vain (didn't count as a rebound). So clarification, LeBron's should be a miss, offensive rebound, and a field goal because it is on his basket, not Milwaukee's.

You're late.

See Gallinari doing this in the first video in this thread. But the first video in the thread no longer exists (and I can't find anymore).

Ok, found the clip again:

You should have known about this, since you're a robot who knows everything and who likes to blast people (with your signature taunt, "Blasted!")

Oh, I'm not late. I saw that one and had the same reaction, I just thought, it's Gallinari, not James, so whatever. ;) Seriously, I know it's been done before, but I saw it at a time where I felt like posting my thoughts.

I'm not the robot, you are.

BTW, what do you think it should be? A driving dunk, assist, or miss, rebound, and field goal? If you pick up your dribble, you shouldn't be able to dribble again. Bouncing it off the backboard, if not a shot, should be a "dribble" - and no, it's not a pass, IMO. If you passed to yourself otherwise, it would be a travel, right? Can you alley-oop yourself if the ball touches nothing?

My answer is: no, I'm too short and unless you shorten the basket and remove defenders, I have no chance.
