Who would be the 4 teams?
ND, Florida, Oregon, and sec champ?

ND v Bama v Joja v Florida. It would be awesome - like a cage match battle royale with li'l ND just there for ratings and to be embarrassed. The playoff comes one year too late.
Yeah...Oregon against 3 other teams with defenses as good or better than Stanford...not good.
how did that Texas AM aka Oregon lite offense do against Alabama?
The playoff system wouldn't be flawed as much as too limited. Next we say 8 team playoff and when that doesn't work we yell for 16.
About as good as that Stanford aka Alabama ultra-lite defense did against Oregon![]()
The championship game will be managed by the conferences and will not be branded as a bowl game. The presidents also announced the creation of a selection committee that will rank the teams to play in the playoff, "giving all the teams an equal opportunity to participate." The committee will consider win-loss record, strength of schedule, head-to-head results and whether a team is a conference champion.
Wouldn't be those four teams as the BCS rankings also go away with the proposed playoff, the four teams will be decided by a selection committee a la the NCAA basketball tournament.

This means nothing more than Alabama in the CG every year. The SEC will have it thier way every year. It won't matter if Oregon goes undefeated or ND does or any other school outside the SEC. Bama will be there and it's not because they are the better team, it's because the committee wants it that way.
It's going to be as big a joke as the BCS is now.:hdn:
So it would probably be ND, Bama/UGA, Oregon, KState (assuming KState wins this weekend)? I could live with that grouping fighting it out. Would be a good conference grudge match.
