Gonna be a good game.

I think it depends on Murray. If he can play mistake free, then UGA will have a chance to win.

See the LSU and A&M games..

Mettenburger played flawless football and never made a single mistake, and LSU almost won.

Manziel also played completely mistake free the whole game, and his team won.

So I think if Murray plays mistake free, then we'll be on the edge of our seat in the final minutes, but if he screws up any, I could see us winning by 10-14 points.

Another thing I forgot to mention is that Bama also must play mistake free like they normally do. We did some things in our two close games that were very uncharacteristic for our team..

One was the fumbled hand off inside the LSU 5 yard line, another was a muffed punt. That's shit that we didn't normally do, and they were self-inflicted mistakes.

Against A&M, our WR's fucked AJ on two occasions..One was tipping a perfectly catchable ball into the defenders hands, another time was screwing up the route on the last interception.

So I don't want it to sound like only UGA has to play mistake free because Bama is so good. Bama has to not fuck up also.

Hopefully we've gone back to the basics for a bit, and make sure we catch the punts or get out of the way, or make sure we're holding on to the ball, and running the routes properly.

Murrays knock is that he's never been able to win the big game. It's proved to be true. So I'm hoping with this being at a neutral location it won't be as bad for him. This is his last shot to prove himself.

UGA's defense needs to get pumped like they were against Florida and play a perfect game

I just hope it's close and interesting

Who gets to crush Notre Dame in Miami?

:twitch: Jawja is an incredible 3-1 against FBS teams (3-1 vs AQ) with winning records, with wins over powerhouses Vanderbilt and Ole Miss(#4 Florida however was a good win), but don't forget they also got destroyed 35-7 by the Gamecocks. They've played 5 bowl eligible teams (1 likely to appear in a BCS game) and lost to one. SEC Championship game ahead obviously.

Alabama is 5-1 against FBS schools (4-1 vs AQ) with winning records, with wins over #19 scUM, Western Kentucky, Ole Miss, Miss St., and a good last second road win over #9 LSU. They then proceeded to make Johnny Football a Heisman candidate in their own house. They have played 6 bowl eligible teams (0 likely to appear in a BCS bowl) and lost to one. SEC Championship game ahead obviously.

Notre Dame is 7-0 against FBS schools with winning records (5-0 AQ) with wins over Navy, #19 scUM, Miami, #8 Stanford (likely PAC-12 Champ), BYU, #11 Oklahoma (still alive in Big12 race), and U$C. They have played 9 bowl eligible teams(2 likely BCS teams), with Pitt having a shot this Saturday to make it ten.

My point being that the overconfidence of many SEC fans is simply based on what other teams in their conference have done in past years(not anything special done on the field this year), especially Georgia, who has skated by on an insanely easy schedule and got blown out by a mediocre opponent(Don't get me started on the cocks, someone needs to explain to me why they are ranked tenth when they only played 4 opponents this season and lost to half). Assuring the SEC sends a team to the NC game is the only reason Georgia is ranked third, and I'm really confident Alabama handles you quite easily. NC quality teams don't get beat by four TDs.

I think the overconfidence of SEC fans is based on some other things...

#1 - Notre Dame should've lost to Stanford, in my personal opinion the running back got into the endzone.

#2 - You barely beat an average Michigan team 13-6, who Bama beat 41-14.

#3 - You beat a 7-5 BYU team by 3 points.

#4 - It took you 3 overtimes and a whole lot of luck to beat a Pitt team that is 5-6, and 2-5 in the Big East.

#5 - Purdue....6-6(3-5 in the crappy B1G)...Notre Dame beat them by 3 points.

So I don't think the overconfidence comes from anything the SEC has done in the past...maybe a little, but for the most part, it's because Notre Dame has been very unimpressive.

This is exactly what my post of referring to..."and the SEC train rolls on." That's the argument I come up against 99% of the time, I want to discuss this season and teams, not the last twenty!

Again, based on what? It's funny ND has yet to lose but damn near every team in the country can crush them.

So I don't think the overconfidence comes from anything the SEC has done in the past...maybe a little, but for the most part, it's because Notre Dame has been very unimpressive.

Against Stanford, ND scored 20 of their 23 points in the fourth quarter and OT, if Stanford did score that TD, it would have pushed the game into another overtime, ND was rolling at that point, I like our chances.

We have played poorly against poor competition(although they were rivals, take that into account if you want), but aside from Stanford we've played very well against our best opponents. (Even in the Stanford game we didn't allow an offensive TD). And those poor opponents we've played are superior to the poor teams Alabama has played. Alabama has not looked impressive against anyone noteworthy, losing to TAMU and needing a last second TD to win against LSU, a W is a W, but...'Bama certainly isn't wowing anyone who pays attention.

And just a half point/half shot at OD, Oregon looked damn impressive until they played a good Stanford team.

Saw this article after my long ass post, yahoo stole my story!

SEC rout of Notre Dame far from guaranteed - Yahoo! Sports

Eight times out of 12, the Irish have had the most impressive performance when assessing comparable opponents. Notre Dame is 2-0 against the Sagarin top 10, whereas Alabama is 0-1 and Georgia is 1-1. Notre Dame is 4-0 against the Sagarin top 20, whereas Alabama is 2-1 and Georgia is 1-1.

A lot of people point to the Irish vulnerability against the likes of Purdue and Pittsburgh as evidence they are Not SEC Tough. But Georgia fans who white-knuckled through scary wins over Tennessee or Kentucky – two teams so disappointing they fired their coaches – know that a good team can struggle on a given Saturday. Alabama is the only one of the three to dispatch overmatched opponents without a peep of protest.
The myth perpetuated by SEC fans is that every week is such a bloodbath, nobody from outside the league could withstand the grind. Yet in the month of November, the average Sagarin rating of Georgia's opponents was 70th. After opening against Michigan, Alabama didn't play anyone in Sagarin's top 30 for the next seven games.
Notre Dame didn't go more than three straight games without playing a Sagarin top 20 team.
It's easy to say the Irish can't match up with the SEC, not as easy to prove. The ultimate proof will be on the field Jan. 7, but until then SEC fans would be wise to tone down the towering arrogance.
