This is exactly what my post of referring to..."and the SEC train rolls on." That's the argument I come up against 99% of the time, I want to discuss this season and teams, not the last twenty!

sorry you haven't been around, but we see this every year

let me ask you........how many of the SECC/NC do you truly think were the best team in the country in this run?

Against Stanford, ND scored 20 of their 23 points in the fourth quarter and OT, if Stanford did score that TD, it would have pushed the game into another overtime, ND was rolling at that point, I like our chances.

We have played poorly against poor competition(although they were rivals, take that into account if you want), but aside from Stanford we've played very well against our best opponents. (Even in the Stanford game we didn't allow an offensive TD). And those poor opponents we've played are superior to the poor teams Alabama has played. Alabama has not looked impressive against anyone noteworthy, losing to TAMU and needing a last second TD to win against LSU, a W is a W, but...'Bama certainly isn't wowing anyone who pays attention.

And just a half point/half shot at OD, Oregon looked damn impressive until they played a good Stanford team.

We might not be wowing anyone, but when we play inferior opponents, we demolished them.

Miss st.
Ole Miss
Tennessee
Michigan
Auburn
Arkansas
Missouri

All average to horrible teams...but Bama killed them all. There was no triple OT with Miss st., or 3 points win against Tennessee...etc.. They were dismantled.

On the shit scale, I'd say they're about the same level with Pitt, BYU, and Purdue..

edit - just realized I called Auburn and Missouri average..they are terrible.

Because I believe Florida was the best team in 2006, and Auburn was the best team in 2010, Georgia is going to win the NC in 2012.

 I didn't realize that was how it worked. How long are we going to talk about the SEC's historical excellence? ND has 11 NCs and 7 Heisman trophies you know that? I think that last NC in '88 is going to have a direct correlation to us winning it this year.

Certainly, but you've had issues with all the big boys you played, and Notre Dame certainly isn't an inferior opponent.

first of all, LOL at thinking UF was the best team in 06

so, you think last year has nothing to do with this year??? aren't you in school?

ND fan is mad. Yeah, he mad.

My SEC over ND confidence is backed up by Vegas... so there's that.

Also, ND hasn't faced a great defense like UGA's & Bama's. Unless you consider BYU a great defense, Stanford's D is good but not as talented as UGA or Bama's.

I think Georgia's offense would fair better against ND's stout D because UGA is more balanced and, as I see it, ND's weakness is their secondary. ND will not rush for 150 yds against Bama or Georgia, putting more pressure on Golston - UGA also has a better pass rush than Bama.

I hear the Vegas favors us argument a lot...Vegas had the Sooners favored by 11 over ND, so using that as a point is an absolute joke.

Georgia put up 7 and 17 against defenses comparable (worse than) ND's, and gave away large amounts of points during some games. Scar ran all over you, I don't see why ND couldn't.

Pple talk about SEC for a reason...6 in a row by a conference has never been done or even close. They deserve to have the spotlight and to be favorite. I would think you would want it that way. Your team can be the one to dethrone them, I wouldnt ask for anything more. If you were to win, no one can make excuses and ND is back on top!

Go Dawgs ... Fuck Bama

I read today that 24 Notre Dame players are from SEC country and we all know that Notre Dame always recruits with the best of 'em ... but I'd have to give the edge to whoever wins the SECCG .. Georgia over ND in a close one and Bama over ND in a 10-20 point win

They werent rolling too good, Stanford drove down the field and scored a touchdown...they had all the momentum.

I would add LSU to that list also...

Agree, but I would take South Carolina off the list w/ Lattimore out and Shaw out w/ Thompson in, I think they would still beat em just no blowout.

I will take Bama in a close game. Both teams match up very well and I think Bama's experience in big games will be the difference.

 Stanford scored 3 points in the second half...and they didn't score an offensive TD.
