1-2 against decent teams with wins over Louisiana Tech, SMU, South Carolina St., Arkansas, Ole Miss, Auburn, Miss St., and Sam Houston State.
Sumlin and Manziel helped....but any top-20 team in the country should go through that BS unscathed.
But they would RULE the Big 12, despite all evidence to the contrary.....

Depends on what their Big12 schedule would have looked like this year. Anybody have that handy?
I could see A&M struggling more in the Big12 with their mediocre defense though. They would be in a similar position as West Virginia probably.
SEC vs Big 12....we'll settle this shit in the Championship game...
OH wait...no we won't....lol
No way A&M defense is as bad as WV.

Nah, probably bad example....but they are 50th in a conference that is anything but good on the offensive side of the ball. And Louisiana Tech did score 57 points on them. I could see 75th-100th in total D being reasonable if they were in the Big12. Not as bad as WVU's 121st though.![]()
you do know there is now an SEC/B12 bowl game, right?

Edit-And yes I do realize LT has a good offense (as I am hoping VT hires their OC in the off season) but they still have no business scoring 57 points on a big time D1 team that recruits Texas.
Yes, the top ranked scoring offense in the nation scored 57 on them.
I'm not saying the defense is great, but they wouldn't have had their same record as last year if they were in the Big12 this year.
I addressed LT in my edit
I don't think they would have had the same record either. I think they are a much better team this year than last.....but depending on how the schedules would have looked, it is possible that they would have 2-3 less wins.
I don't see any defenses that are near what those are in the SEC, so I say it would wash out.

yeah because pure offense has always won in the B12
Baylor, OSU, TTech, WVU all light up scoreboards......so does Texas and OU. It's not a given A&M would outscore them all.
History says no
Just depends on what the schedule looked like..... outside of the 3 teams that we already discussed the best defense A&M saw this season was Miss. St. at #46 (who had a pretty weak schedule themselves.)
