At the Wisconsin-UTEP game, we had another sign the apocalypse is coming....Montee Ball just had his first career fumble. The good news is the pass protection looked very good, and our defense just forced a three and out. We need to send a message that we are for real leading into the Nebraska game next week.

If there's a bright spot for Wisconsin today, it's that Stave looks like he could be a decent QB. Still a freshman, so have to expect some mistakes (like that INT), and he's staring down his receivers too often, but the kid's got an arm, good poise, and he's made some good decisions.

Also, Melvin Gordon is gonna be a beast.

Offensive line is showing improvement but isn't quite back to old form.

On the other hand, way too many fucking penalties.

Gordon redshirted last year, but Bielema said that he might be the most talented RB he's coached (not sure if he meant skills-wise or physically, or both). Of course Montee Ball was racking up 39 TDs so everyone thought "what the fuck is that idiot talking about now?".

But yeah, he's gonna be good.
