Yeah, that should be a daily poll. Reset every day, a favorite and least favorite. I'm sure Feldman would have been tops a few weeks ago. Kind of a Rangers hot/not chart.

I saw that and had the same reaction. Then how does Luis Martinez get 20 votes at the time I voted? He hasn't been on the field! How can he be 20 dude's least favorite player?

MY is going to win in a landslide. Wonder if Murphy has seen the numbers.

Again, those are 20 casual fans who don't have a clue what they're talking about. It proves that not all baseball fans with computers are the same. Contrary to what some would have you believe, some baseball fans are more qualified to give informed statements on the game and do things like vote in polls such as this one.

I couldn't bring myself to vote for any of them. I dislike the way MY is playing and I want him nowhere near the lineup, but he wouldn't be my least favorite Ranger just because of what he has meant to the team over the years. I couldn't vote for Oswalt because I think he kind of got a raw deal from Wash and the media about that whole not pitching the extra inning thing. I would have voted for Torrealba because of his poor play and his ridiculous temper, but obviously he's gone.

Somebody voted for Beltre too. Unbelievable. And David Murphy who quietly goes about his business as a hustling team player and utility OF somehow gathered 6 votes. There are knowledgeable fans and then those who are, um, not-so-much.

Least favorite does not equal hate or even dislike. Least favorite is still in positive territory.

I had no problem voting for my least favorite player.

I guess that's true. I looked at it more from a dislike perspective. I guess my current least favorite would probably be Scheppers, Kirkman, or Lowe (one of the mop-up bullpen crew).

I am least happy though when MY steps up to bat.

Joey's question assessed an overall perspective ... and that would include your "least happy when MY steps up to bat". It would also include my "least happy when the pitcher makes a pickoff throw to MY at 1b" ... it would also include my "least happy when there is a medium to hard ball hit up the 1b line with MY playing 1b".

The only slider from a RHP that MY can hit is a hung slider because his bat couldn't reach a slider off the plate if he had a 5' bat.
