Hamels to the Rangers?

It would be wise move since were not sure if were going to have Colby in the postseason. Good starting RH is going to be needed if we have to meet the Angels in the playoffs. They pummel LH pitching with Trout,Trumbo and Puholz and their predominately RH hitting bats. Yu has 3 of our 4 wins against them, so if JD can obtain a good RH at a reasonable price before the deadline then I am all in.

I'd go after a bat, upgrade catcher if you can, and hold the rotation as it is.

I would definitely go after a bat as well. Think we may see a surprise move that no one has mentioned yet.

We are in a disadvatange going into the post season without a true ace .If you really think we can get back to the WS with just Harrison,Darvish and up in the air Lewis,undependable Holland you are fooling yourself. Pitching wins world series',not bats. Getting someone like Cliff Lee is worth giving up a couple of farm system prospects and probably Holland,andFeliz .

Colby Lewis one game and done. Lewis was placed on the 15-day DL as of 4PM today. and it is looking possible that Oswalt may be joining him.

Definitely feel the same way and in fact I was listening to Ranger post game show last nite and one of the hosts said he felt the team as currently constituted would not go back to the world series.
What really surprised me ,from listening to the show last nite, is that our offense has been last in the ML for the month of July. For the most part that is due largely because of Josh's meltdown at the plate.

Time to just let Lewis ge truly healthy, I think Oswalt is just a flare-up, he's been dealing with problems like this for years now

Come playoff time you have Darvish and Harrison, and then 2 to choose from when the time comes in Ogando, Feliz, Holland, Oswalt, and Lewis,

Personally I think any 2 of those guys will be good to go for a playoff run when that time comes

As of now we just need to make sure we get quality outings of the guys replacing Lewis and Oswalt for the time being

Count me in the camp that doesn't think trading for Greinke, Garza, Lee or Hamels is necessary
