#CBA As of 6 p.m. NHL and NHLPA still talking. Meeting is approaching the three-hour mark.

Maybe they went home hours ago but are lying about it for PR reasons.

Just trying to keep everyone from getting too excited. When the first game is scheduled then we can go back to hating each other

Told by several sources NHL is not committed to contract term limit but is committed to ending dramatically front-loaded deals.

Also told that amnesty buyouts are on table.

Two sources report NHL would assume entire make-whole with at least a portion deferred but unclear whether that applies only to first 2 yrs

That at least was plan before today's meeting.
