Those strike calls against Napoli were suspect. Oh well, junk game, junk loss. We'll get em tomorrow.
Murphy over Napoli???![]()
:ss:
fify
admit it, you were hesitant when Murphy got on.
Wasn't expecting Mike to be taking on 3-2 in bottom of the 9th. DAMN
Bad AB for Nap. You can't take that last pitch with 2 strikes in teh bottom of the 9th. Havign said that, evey one of teh 7 pitches in that last AB were in teh same place and 3 were called balls and 3 were called strikes. Ump needs to be better at his job than that. The rality is all of them were strikes, but if the first 2 had been called strikes Nap would have been swinging on that last pitch. as it was, he had to guess what teh fickle ump was going to call. he guessed wrong.
He was bad. Not because he was giving wide or low strikes, but because he was completely inconsistent all game.
Huh??
I changed your quote to reflect that we lost your game day thread. Just ribbing you.
Well I haven't had good luck with starting game threads. I probably just need to stop.

There were a lot of bad AB's that got us to the 9th inning. Guys swinging at stuff that was never close to the strike zone. Slow curves then a fastball out of the strike zone that they wouldn't lay off. It happens sometimes with junk ball pitchers and free swingers.
