Elliott, come on down. You're the game 2 starter.

(I'm sure... right?)

I doubt it, Elliott has a concussion. And he wasnt good in his last game of the season. Plus Hitchcock said Halak is his starter since the time he took over the team.

I dont see him benching him after one bad game, he follows it up with another shitty game then yes.

Also the sharks coming back and winning this game has got to be fucking with that young teams head right now, take away a little bit of that luster off that aura of invincability they had against the sharks

Sharks stole this game and that's the kind of win you need here and there throughout the playoffs. Coming back to win in the 3rd is no easy feat against the Blues. Thanks, Sharks for making me feel good and drunk instead of pissed and drunk.

Wow, what a game. Would have been a good one even without the W but damn we see why Dougie picked up Havlat. Patty needs to pick it up now. Where is Handzus?

I agree. Niemi finally came up big which is fantastic. Best game I've seen from him in ages. If he keeps it up throughout the playoffs, the Sharks have a shot to do some damage.

Seriously, how good is this kid Tommy Wingels? Going to be a solid NHLer for a really long time. I also want to echo what MadCap said, is Handzus hurt or is he in the dog house or what? I know he hasn't been in the lineup consistently for a very long time.

Handzus just odd man out but ready to play, I thought?

Also, what ever happened to Winchester? I'll take that guy in the lineup over Mitchell anytime.

Sharks did were outplayed but still came away with the 2 points, I'll take that every time. Sharks are going to need a better effort on Saturday. Good start, St Loius is a young team put the pressure on them early.

He was hurt for a little while, his finger I think, but McLellan and staff have moved to a line-up built around speed and quickness. Handzus just doesn't have that.

Yeah. Raise your hand if you're worried about the "oh-hey-we-already-won-the-one-game-we-came-here-for-let's-relax" effect!

*raises hand*

That's what I thought too Rares, I just never would have guessed that Wilson would admit that he made a mistake and allow Handzus to be a healthy scratch like that. We have another year and 2 million dollars left of him right? I don't miss Winchester at all, Mitchell is a poosy but I will take his speed over Winchester any day. I always viewed that guy as a roster filler, I view Mitchell as a roster filler too but maybe one with slightly more value, haha.

The Sharks definitely got outplayed, but the Sharks weren't terrible imho, so fuck you Hedican. He said they were, "terrible" during the 2nd intermission. They played fairly well up to that point. Rough start to the 3rd but awesome bounce back to tie it up and force OT.

The first OT they were absolutely godawful. So if Hedican stated as such during the last intermission kudos. I wouldn't know because I was hammered by that point. Great perseverance by the Sharks tonight. And a hat tip to Niemi for keeping the Sharks in it and another to Havlat for the icebreaker and game winner. What a fun night. Go Sharks!

The Desjardin line had good shifts all game long. That line can be rolled out 10-12 minutes a night with confidence. The Moore line had good chances but they all have hands of stone.

Ok, just figured out why the Sharks play such a soft, passive box, even at 5 on 5. To keep inside position on the opposition and sweep away Niemi's rebounds. Took a whole damn season and some shots of hennessy to realize that.

That first OT tonight reminded me of the first OT against Nashville in that game. If my memory is correct Nashville had a ton of opportunities in OT that night.
