But I know he cost the team plenty of games too. Like against OKC as others have pointed out.

There are some player who fit on any roster because of their play style. Guys who can shoot, play off the ball and at least defend their position adequately.

Russ is like the opposite of that. He is very difficult to fit into any team system.

I am not arguing he hasn't cost his team games but let's not just act like he is a total scrub. When KCP left to sign with Orlando Braun got promoted to the starting lineup they needed somebody for the bench and he filled a pretty good role.

Is he perfect? No and I never said he was. But, he did a pretty solid job overall at a cheap price.

What I said is he doesn’t fit into team basketball concepts unless the offense is designed around him.

And nobody doing that anymore.

Because he isn’t good enough to be the guy.

I saw where it actually makes more financial sense for him to opt out. The vet min number for this coming season is actually higher than what his contract is if he picked up his option. So he can opt out and just re-sign with Denver on a new vet min and get more money

Only thing I'm sure of is the Celtics will look a lot different next season. As far as what to expect, nobody knows.

Honestly was not even aware trades could be made until July. Figured they could maybe discuss but not make deals.

I think as long as all parties are under contract you can trade players. We have been talking about KD being traded?

Just can't do a sign and trade and until free agency starts for players not under contract
