Not that I really like Tibbs, but he has been hitting, and he WAS a 1st rounder.

He is going to be EXPENSIVE, and we paid a king’s ransom in prospects to get him. And he is not known for his defensive (when he is willing to play defense).

He will man 3B until Chappy gets back, but after that, he is basically only a DH. I hate DH-only players.

On the surface, I give this trade a C+, at best.

At least for the time being lets enjoy his hitting and hope he won't be a problem and that we have enough pitchers ready to graduate soon as we still have some arms that could be something.

We know Chappy is a plus at 3rd doubt he would be more than average at first and I doubt Devers would be even average at third. So I don't know if Devers could be close to average at First or if he would even play there I guess we will find out going forward I would think Posey was allowed to talk with him about playing in the field before the trade.

I am still shocked that the Giants are eating all the money on the deal while still paying such a high prospect price in Harry and Tibbs. Maybe they have soured on Harry (or they believe he is what he has shown - a #3) and that Tibbs is a DH as well, and that is worth parting with…

I was referring to his health. If healthy, Chappy IS the face of the franchise right now, I think.

Disagree on "kings ransom." He's an all star DH. Probably going to the HOF if he stays healthy. Harry was expendable, Hicks is not a great loss, and Tibbs...who knows. We got him BEFORE THE ASB. That almost never happens. This trade is an A-.

We didn't give up Whiz or Bryce. We got a phuking ALL STAR. I mean, what more did you want?

Harrison came up with HUGE hype, and pitched OK last year. He has been decent this year as well. He certainly hasn’t shown the hype yet, but is still very young. He was an absolute asset.

Hicks…. Good riddance.

Tibbs looks to have a legit bat, but no glove at all.

No clue who Bello is. He was never on my radar.

So we gave up 2 SOLID prospects (Harry is 23…. That is young enough to be a prospect) for a guy who is due to be paid the military budget of a decent national power. I like that we got Devers. But taking the entirety of the contract AND giving multiple top-end kids is steep. Especially for a potential malcontent.

How has Flores, if he played there, played 1st base and if Eldredge(SP) comes in late this year and is ready does he play 1st then what happens to Flores he has been such a good player for this team.

Flores has been getting results, but if you look at his actual numbers, his production is not sustainable. He shouldn’t be a roadblock for anything the team does.
