Series Thread: Rangers Travel to Washington DC to play the Nationals For Three Games June 6-8

The Rangers stumble into DC after getting swept by the Rays. Corbin, deGrom and Mahle take the mound for the Rangers.

I believe this team will continie to match toward a record that screams, "Sell." Whether these players are just not that good, or if there is a problem in the clubhouse, I just don't see a turnaround coming.

Hopefully, whatever we can get at the deadline will aid in helping the team to turn it around by next year. Hopefully, we won't have to go through a complete rebuild. We need a new culture, a better bullpen and some replacement bats.

Bad baseball hangover

So much went wrong last game and really the series
Team looks snakebit and honestly a bit numb
Which is kind of crazy since many of these are WS champs. Should have some swagger but they don’t. They come across like victims

I know we need a closer and good relievers but let's be fair. We lost more games from lack of offense than from closer and RP. Think of games of 2-0, 2-1, 3-2 etc.BP can't be blamed for lack of runs and not saying BP did not lose any either. Just being honest.

Whatever it is it is not changing what’s needed overall. They need to look like champs not unprepared second guessers
Not performing in the clutch

When teams play them their opponents need to feel no lead is safe
Bad culture

Even announcers come across like team is doomed if behind even 1-0
Even our fanbase and even this board moans too
It perpetuates

I always thought winning starts between your ears

If this keeps up expect a shakedown at the end of the year

Why would the owners put up with it?
They shelled out money and state of art stadium is here

Bad thing is yuu have Skip in waiting but it may need to start fresh

They will 100% not fire Bochy and burn bridges with only WS winning coach ever in 50 plus years
Even if he deserves it and some of it is due to flawed pen construction IMO

The offense has underachieved. That’s not on the GM

Now the state of the farm and the disappointing of the lack of development even though injuries have been a factor. Blame is debatable

But IMO the lack of high powered arms drafted earmarked for relief is an error

Now we pushed Wyatt through since he was a potential generational talent is becoming exposed

Not sure more minor time was the answer but he needs more mentoring and work

In some ways the same goes with Evan
Sure don’t want to label him as a forever platoon player against LHP

So just going to have to bear through this with Bochy. We do not see what happens behind closed doors but an example should have been set for covering 1B as a pitcher.
