Why am I salty?

I do think it’s a playoff team potentially. I could also see the team at 85 wins and sitting outside too. I hope it’s a playoff team. I just don’t think the delta between Yaz (at this stage in his career and how he’s performed so far) and getting Matos some every day reps is that big.
I’m fine if Yaz is the 4th OF and defensive replacement because we find someone better. I’m just not very high on Matos, feels like a bust to me

I was NEVER super high on Matos, so he doesn’t have that “bust” label in my head. I still think he has the ability to be a 3rd OF somewhere, I just don’t see anything super special in him.

I’m ok with both of the above. I just don’t understand how he can’t get any playing time if Yaz is struggling so badly.

Giants are exactly on a 90 win pace again, winning 5 of every 9 games. The mean reversion has been fairly gentle, playing .500 ball for about a month

Braves blew a 6 run lead in the 9th to lose their 4th in a row today, they will be coming in angry. I might go to my first game of the year this weekend, my record is pretty good

I have no idea what you are doing wrong.

Are you posting the link directly into the body of the post, then changing the “x” to “Twitter”? Or are you using one of the link pasting tools?
I post it and then forget this site doesn’t support it. Then I edit it and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

For me, it’s just like what are we holding on to with LWJ and Yaz? I love them both as giants, but they’re not young and not fixtures of the future. Give them 3 months and then if it’s not there, then give the reins to the young kids.
Don't disagree. But they look and act the part of professional ballers. Seem to have an approach at the plate. Love the lefty at 1st. Johnson looks at home in Oracle's OF. Strange as it sounds, alias Smith&Johnson appear to be an injection of mature leadership, at least for 2 games.

Way too early to extrapolate, but so far a good move by management (Posey?)

edit to add..... we need Yaz. Couldn't find a better 4th OFer. And he's the 3rd until a better alternative comes up

True re: new guys. But it’s not like Wade wasn’t a professional at bat.

I’m not saying dfa the guy, I’m saying when he’s 3 for his last 42 or whatever it was, why not try Matos for awhile? How much worse could it possibly get?

Matos could go 3 for 42 with worse defense? I’ve soured on Matos, neither his bat nor his glove have turned out as expected and I’d want to see something better from him in AAA before he gets another shot in the bigs.
As for Yaz, I have to remind myself that he is going to have horrible cold spells at the plate. You will probably want his bat in the lineup in about 2 to 3 weeks.

Woof! he must suck. Even play the kids LHG wants 3/42 Yaz to start.

Wade is completely expendable but you are undervaluing Yaz especially including his defense and base running. Go look at his numbers
Agreed on Yaz. Same principle but to a lesser extent as Belt. If you look at the numbers you see the value. Also, he was just made Team Captain, similar to this guy:

Pitching matchups:

Fri -- Bird v. Schwellenbach
Sat -- Spyder v. Elder
Sun -- Roupp v. Strider

Tonight is a tossup although Schwelly isn't good away from Turner Field.
Tomorrow and Sunday we have the clear advantage

We should take this series before heading out to Denver and on to the Latrine.

p.s. Tonights Atlanta pitcher cannot be a real name. Sounds like a Bremen Lager.
