Has Skippy had success with anyone other than Brady? From what I have read to date, Maye is stinking up the place. Seeing as Skippy uses a lot of timing based throws it's expected.

The television and radio media are up his ass too. They've already started the "Was Joe Milton III traded too soon? From what I have read to date, Maye is stinking up the place. Seeing as Skippy uses a lot of timing based throws it's expected.
The other thing is that defenses don't generally have to learn a completely new defense. They play a position and what they have to do rarely, if ever changes. It's pretty much kill the guy with the ball or take the ball away from the guy with the ball. They don't have to relearn a complete new language, a complete new set of plays or get specific timing down because the ball in being thrown their way before they look back.Timing and just understanding what is expected from the system takes time. It is why early in the season you see defenses ahead of offenses as it takes a bit to get it all clicking.

Over the past fifteen years, rarely do players switch sides of the ball once they leave high school. Not many top level high schools let players switch sides. Concentrate on what you do and do it to the best of your ability is the basic rule.
Quarterbacks don't have to know just their own position, they pretty much have to know everyone else's on the offense to make sure what they intend to do every time they take a snap, will work the way it's supposed to work. According to what I've seen and heard on the Boston channels is that Josh McDaniels was expected to dumb down his offensive playbook. Now the talking heads are saying that he's pushing Maye the same way he did Brady. The only difference is that Maye didn't have five years under Charlie Weiss before McDaniels took over the offense. This could be a rough road if he's expecting Maye to pick it up as fast as Brady did and then operate it efficiently.
Young QB in early uptake of new system. Growing pains. From what I have read to date, Maye is stinking up the place. Seeing as Skippy uses a lot of timing based throws it's expected.
I agree was just pointing out there are potential woesYoung QB in early uptake of new system. Growing pains.
They will decrease as they go along but there will still be some adjustments as we get into regular season.
Fortunatly, most every team will start the season with "issues"

He won a playoff game with Tebow...Has Skippy had success with anyone other than Brady?
Yes. Yes he was.The television and radio media are up his ass too. They've already started the "Was Joe Milton III traded too soon?
Wasn't that basically a 0-0 tie when Tebow hit a short slant that went the distance? Is that what we call a success for McSkippy? He won a playoff game with Tebow...
23-23 going into OT.Wasn't that basically a 0-0 tie when Tebow hit a short slant that went the distance? Is that what we call a success for McSkippy?
McSkippy himself ? As I recall, Bill started relly praising Tebow up before the draft. Did he bait Skippy? Some goofball had gifted McSkippy with Tebow by drafting him in the first round (and trading up, I think). I wish I could recall who that goofball was.
Where else has he been OC ?Sarcasm aside, I didn't ask so I could mock the guy and my opinion isn't that he's useless. It's just that the guy needs to adapt to the resources he has. Only one guy has succeeded with his system and was derived from that guy's playing style. Maybe derived another based on Drake?
Yup, I made some mistakes, but not to the level of yours... Per your source, John Fox was coaching and not McSkippy.23-23 going into OT.

LOL. I didn't know I was supposed to be keeping score.Yup, I made some mistakes, but not to the level of yours... Per your source, John Fox was coaching and not McSkippy.
This is a stupid question to me.Has Skippy had success with anyone other than Brady?
I wasn't trying to win, I was volleying back to you. I asked if jmd had success w/o tb. You gave a false example. I know it was in good faith and replied that way by digging deeper into your example. But I'm still wondering why we think he's the answer.LOL. I didn't know I was supposed to be keeping score.
You win.
Everything.
Thanks for keeping the hoop a fun place to get away from work for a minute!!
While I am moderately dissatisfied with this I am not overly surprised either. If I remember they said his strength was in the run game and his pass blocking need work. Maybe he's not putting in the work?![]()
