Is the #1 pick untradeable barring a crazy offer?

For example, would you trade 1.1 for Hall, Pearsall or Shakir, ‘26 1st?

Same offer but including 1.5 instead of future 1st.
Hall, the 1.5, AND the 26 #1 would get me to seriously consider it. Couldn't care less about Pearsall or Shakir, and id likely counter asking for a sweetener, probably a depth RB.

When there is a hands down, no doubt about it, #1 pick, and everyone knows it.. the sky is the limit on what it might take. Bijan and Zeke were very similar.

Had Hampton ended up in Cleveland, or Denver, or Dallas, that might be a different story

Yeah I remember I had the #1 pick in the Bijan draft. I got Garrett Wilson and Hall. I feel like this Jeanty pick is probably worth more too

Recall thinking you sold low, still think you did but we'll see what fields can do with that offense

To be fair, that was the offseason before Hall was a top 2 RB and Wilson was a top 25 WR. I thought I sold low bc he offered me cmac in a package. He had an amazing year but then of course the next year he got hurt…was my main worry. I feel pretty good now but I’m down on Hall going forward

Just wondering if youre hearing anything locally?

Read an article about Dillon Gabriel. Stories start to unfold after the draft.... this story basically said CLE really wanted Gabriel and want to give him every chance to be the QB1 regardless of Sanders being on the team.

So i picked him up in D2 for fun.

Yeah I heard they talked to him months before the draft. Private workout, meeting, dinner, etc.
From Browns sources, he was their target. If he wasn’t picked in the 3rd they would have done what they could to draft him. Yeah I am not sure why…but that’s the Browns. I really liked watching the kid play in college but it’s college. Not sure how I feel about him in the NFL. If you could mold Gabriel and Shedeur together…I would feel better lol

Would you cough up a future 3rd to draft him in SuperFlex league? 4.01 is on the clock now in one for me, Gabriel and Ewers are best remaining QBs

tough call...those super flex leagues..even if he's nothing special at all and just gets some spot starts, he's probably with that 3rd..but will he? I mean, at least one of Sanders, Gabriel and Pickett won't make the team, entirely possible that TWO of them won't.

But then again, what kinds of prospects do you typically end up getting with your third round picks? I can't imagine there's a big 'hit' ratio in the third.

So wth, why not? place that bet I say

Based on the Gabriel-mancrush article and Shane's comments above, this is just my guess: that the QB job will eventually belong to Gabriel unless Sanders absolutely and convincingly blows him away (which at best, they might be even as far as rookies go).

What QB’s do you have or is this a redraft/keeper league?

Idk it is extremely hard to tell now. I don’t think there will be favoritism (not saying you said that) and the best candidate will earn it. Is Gabriel more pro-ready than Sanders? Yes, I do think so. Flacco probably starts but what if they start 0-5…camp and preseason will tell us a lot. Right now after some rookie practices…I heard they both look good but it’s so early now

I think Pickett is the best bet to be dealt. Then they have 3 QB’s (Watson on IR) so I imagine both would be on the roster. I’d bet one plays the second half of the season unless either the Browns are good or Flacco is playing pretty well

FWIW
Speaking from experience as a Bears fan, it may boil down to GM pride. Plain and simple.
How will he explain burning a 3rd round pick on Gabriel and then not start him? Starting Sanders would mean the GM was wrong about Gabriel.
Not sure humility exists in an NFL front office.

And who knows, if Deion decides to insert himself into the decision (which me thinks he will), its easier to wash their hands of Sanders and trade him with less fallout from a draft pick value.

And to dovetail off my earlier comments, saw yet another article that Gabriel looked "decidedly better" in camp over Sanders. I think the writing is on the wall.

would you really carry three QB's on the roster? when two of them were throw away picks..over a guy with real experience? Edite- oops a 3rd is not a throw away pick..that dude is on the roster

I mean, Flacco and either one of the rooks would be more than enough, for me anyways, but if I'm carrying three, one of those rooks is gonzo, and I'm keeping Pickett.

Only way I'm keeping both rooks is if I go with Pickett as my starter and send Flacco packing. If I'm punting on the season and committing to training 2 rookies, the cheap veteran option is my choice, the pricey vet can kiss my ass

CMC owner on the clock, offered '26 4th and 5th for pick otc

Also offered Guerendo + '26 3rd for pick otc + '26 2nd....a bit ambitious but he's expressed past interest in cuffing CMC so you never know

Idk injury history has been a major problem for all Browns players at every point in time lol but I definitely get it. Pickett could win the job for all that we know…if that’s the case then one of the rookies is gone.

Dropping Flacco wouldn’t make sense. He had like a $3M dollar fully guaranteed deal. I mean unless he is completely toast and should retire

Guerendo deal was accepted, fingers crossed Gabriel gives me a reason to think about pulling him off my taxi squad this year or next

Essentially got a future 2nd for Guerendo and Gabriel for a future 3rd.

TeSlaa at pick 3.10 and Gabriel at 4.1 to stash on taxi squad after trading away my first for Mixon and Hunt in-season.

At least I am not the only one who wants Gabriel to become the next Steve Young
