They share the revenue. The Lakers have a story and the Clippers have a story. Both franchises playing their part. The Clippers get money for simply existing. What exactly are you accusing them of?
Wanting to win over more fans and sell more merchandise.

Wait, here you push revenue sharing yet in your draft suspicion you point is they do it to keep small markets afloat. You want to have your cake and eat it too, I see.

I didn't say what you are imagining. Nice try... You must not have a very logical argument if you have to resort to those lame shenanigans.

I've been clear throughout the thread. Different markets at different times are given star players to build that specific market. Different markets at different times are given star players to build that specific market. Different markets at different times are given star players to build that specific market. You don't have the data to say which and when, but the NBA does and it's very important to them. As they've proven over and over.

What you wrote is pretty much exactly what you say I misunderstood, the sole difference being build markets vs keeping them afloat, which isn't really any difference at all. What evidence do you have the the league is controlling player movements to small markets to build those specific markets?

You really don't listen well. Too thick or too empty between the ears? I can't tell.

There are almost 30 pages of this discussion already with a number of examples from different people, not just me. You want to ignore it and start over. I don't know why you do and I don't care why, but this has already been explained to those of you that can't follow along- can't or won't or too scared about what that means... Your shortcoming aren't a concern to me. I've already elaborated on this topic more than you have earned.

lol

All of that bluster and stupidity and still no conspiracy theorists have answered why the league would risk it's own existence and billions of dollars to make sure 1 player goes to a certain team.

Is anyone surprised that its Philly fans arguing hardest for this bullshit?

Yeah, accounting firms are beyond reproach

How’s Arthur Andersen doing these days?

The league single handedly rebuilding Sam Antonio after they were 90s clippers levels of incompetent for 5 years is something that won’t get talked about enough

You really like splitting hairs that it is pointless to split thinking it helps your point.
In all these pages you have provided nothing to support your theory of the league working to control player movement for market manipulation as you claim.

The real result of this thread? The NBA would do itself a huge favor by dumping the lottery.
Yeah some of these guys want to give Adam Silver and everybody in the league office the keys to their heart. They’re way too trusting and accepting in their embrace of a process without transparency.

Any time the process gets more complicated, that means there are more ways to hide cheating (or at least give the appearance of that opportunity). Dumb it down and make it simple. Worst picks first. If you want a bit more nuance, worst over the past 3 years picks first (to slow the one year tankers).

You've already acknowledged the posters who told you the process is observed by many journalists, which seems pretty transparent to me. So why pretend you didn't see that?

I don’t consider that transparent when journalists in this sphere are dependent upon relationships that make them the go to person for scoop and purposeful leaks.
