So we are supposed to believe that in a 6 year period the Pelicans got the 1 with a 6 percent chance and Dallas got it with a 1.8 percent chance. This is insulting to people’s intelligence.

My guy if Giannis says he wants to play in Dallas, Flagg is a Buck. You make that deal every time. Giannis is a top two player in the world right now. Flagg's ceiling is Top 10, and that's banking on if he does hit his ceiling
Yeah you do

The probability of the Pelicans getting Zion and the mavs getting Flagg is 0.11 percent.

Lotto odds are not a straightforward probability scenario though.

The top odds hitting 2 in a row are only like 7 percent.

But Zion may also eat some of your ping pong balls so it’s less than that

Probability theory is simple, the pelicans had a 6 percent chance at the 1 and the Mavs had a 1.8 percent chance. So .(06 x .018) x 100 equals a 0.11 percent chance.

Yep, could…most of the core is older and injury prone
Exactly. Should have kept Luka, obviously.
But...they could have a pretty strong 2-3 year window in the mean time. I can't see them trading Irving or AD. They just traded Luka to "win a championship with defense"....not rebuild. They piss this fan base off anymore and Nico will need protective custody

The math is correct.

Putting those 2 scenarios in the same sentence is not.

Not following you. Throw in the fact that both outcomes are favorable to the league and the odds become even less.
