We should get a better idea about 3 weeks before the deadline as teams start falling out of contention.

Yeah but just looking around it seems most of higher priced guys are pitchers. It’s kind of like the offseason, if they are going to get a young controllable guy then they are going to have to deal one of the 4 starters (not even knowing if Gilbert or Miller will be healthy enough to trade) I mean who knows it just seems like this deadline is going to be similar to the offseason where the teams needs aren’t going to be there.

But this is also why I want them to hurry up and promote the entire Everett team cause that makes them all much closer to the big leagues which makes them most valuable trade chips

I wasn't a fan of Polanco at 2B yesterday. I know they were scrambling, but there is a big hole at 2B when he plays there.

Welp. Woo was due. He's been amazing so far this year and the A's hit well.

Gotta hope the offense picks him up like they've done so well the past couple weeks.

I turned it off after the 3rd run scored. Not our day. Funny thing is we haven't been hit hard all series. It is just placement. We play up the middle they hit in the hole. We play in the hole they hit up the middle. Pretty amazing really.

Even when they were down 3-2 going into the 9th last night I didn't have the feeling the game was over no matter what. They have been hitting better as of late to the point where it no longer feels like being down 2 or 3 runs means game over.

they're down 4-0 after 4 innings. I felt like a comeback was possible yesterday, but not today. The offense is still far from good and they've hit about as much as they're going to in a 3-game series, imo.

I'm just waiting for the Yanks/Pads game to start. Haven't watched much of the Yanks this year, but the Pads have been hot and really fun to watch. Gonna scout out the Yanks to see what we're in for next Mon-Wed.

This just feels like a different team right now. It really does.

I mean they might still lose this for sure, but it just doesn't feel as automatic as it did the first couple of weeks.

it's nice to see, but this team isn't much different from the one that lost a 10 game lead last year, failed to hold any of the wild card spots in the final 5 weeks of the season, and was barely better than the white sox offensively.

only a fool would think that a couple of weeks of offensive competence is real.

this team needs pitching to get a lot better because it's highly improbably they're going to hit like this anything but sporadically. i'm thinking long term.

Saying they look different right now doesn't mean they won't regress, nor does it set any season goals higher.

I'm just saying right now their ABs look far better than they did most of last year and the first two weeks this year.

I've already said numerous times they can fall apart anytime so I just try to enjoy the hot streaks when they come for as long as they last.

Honestly, even down 5-0 I thought they might lose, but 3 weeks ago I would have been sure they were. It's a big step for me.
