Just saw he ran 4.6 in the 40 at the combine. Looks to have great hands and gutsy. The time is concerning a bit.

You watch him running on the field and the speed doesn't look like a big concern. He has decent short area quickness, and does well to get YAC opportunities.

Have to remind myself the reason Terrell Davis fell to the 6th round was because of his slower time at the combine.

Some guys just do not test well. In the explosive drills like Vertical and Broad Jump though he tested really well. So shows that short area quickness. He brings to the offense a player that thrives on slant routes and slot fade type plays. It is why Payton said when he watches Bryant some of what he can do reminds him of Michael Thomas. I expect the Broncos to use him in a similar way.

Yes. Bryant way undervalued by the "mock" draft world.

Really good WR who fits what we need at WR to a tee. He will make the others around him better. This is great for guys like Mims and Franklin.

Love Pat Bryant. Hope he sticks with his #13 jersey number because I just ordered his jersey today. :)

Waiting on Barron as I expect he will get #4 but I better wait.

My predictions would be

4- Jahdae Barron
12- RJ Harvey (may change after cuts)
13- Pat Bryant
42- Sai'Vion Jones
55- Que Robinson
16- Jeremy Crawshaw (Franklin changing to #11)
84- Caleb Lohner

Jones may take 55.

Looking at Pump’s highlight video, he sure looks faster than 4.6.
I like the way he sees and uses the field during YAC. He seems to have a similar skill to Harvey. Aware of the defense and eludes the pressure/threat. Let’s see what these boys can do against an NFL “D”.

The kid heaving the rock to Bryant caught my eye. Returning for another year at Illinois. Luke Altmyer. What’s the word on him?

Altmeyer was highly recruiting coming out, started at Ole Miss. Had a great year last year, decent arm. Has a lot to work on still but headed in the right direction. Can run too.

When I think of Pat Bryant I see explosion. He may not run a 4.4 but he makes up for it by getting off the line of scrimmage quickly, getting open and accelerating quickly. Physical WR who makes plays and finds the end zone.

that’s what Payton said. explosive off the LOS which if i can’t beat man in the NFL won’t see the field on a full time basis

We've got the guys already in place to win with long speed in Franklin and Mims. So it makes sense to get someone who can win in the short area quickness and have strong hands to catch it in traffic.

Yes sir! The fit is perfect for what we needed. I think I am more upset with myself for not locking onto Bryant a little more for us in the draft. For the type of WR I talked about we need to draft even though I liked Bryant he just sort never got talked about enough. I know I brought him up a few times earlier in the discussion but I feel like he was the forgotten about WR in our draft discussion.

Barron just never really seemed like he would be there for us and we weren't locked on CB discussion in Round 1.

But I really like these two picks.
