Gurley might be on there but I wouldn't put him number 1 EVEN at RB? Terrell Davis anyone (if anything?) The hell?

RG Knee and I think Gordon should be above him. I also think Ray Rice should be on this list. His bitch ass woman was smacking him with the heel of her shoe REPEATEDLY and when he finally gave her a dose of equality, everyone flipped the fuck out and the NFL started their whole political bullshit of shaming men like women don't do shit to start fights. Biggest bullshit things in the NFL in recent memory.

That said, I mean at least Gurley had a few good seasons and got AP1 awards before he couldn't keep up due to injury. I'd put Gurley on the same page as Luck/Kuechly but further down the list. Manziel? Lol... everyone knew that kid was a cokehead and partier coming out of College. That wasn't a downfall, that was just a stupid pick (not a surprise) by the Browns. Kevin White, a lot of injuries, but he had some chances and just couldn't play. That was a curious pick in the top 10... granted he only played like 5 games in 3 seasons, so I guess that one can stay.

Sean Taylor should be on this list btw although I don't know if it counts due to his death. Also, probably throw Aaron Hernandez on here if we're including people with crimes.

And where is BRANDON BULSWORTH? He was a walk on in College, taken by the Colts in the mid rounds, and was going to be a ROOKIE OL STARTER (doesn't happen often if you're not a top 1st round pick). And then had a tragic accident before the season as a rookie. There was a movie on him "Greater"... oh but it's an OLINEMAN! We don't care about those fucks. :rolleyes2:

This list needs a lot of refining IMO. 4/10. This list seems like it was made by some TikTok dork or a woman that knows nothing about Football.

I know you didn't make it @Battlelyon and I'm sure are linking because Gurley is #1... but Gurley is nowhere near #1 on this list in a 'sane' alternate universe.

Terrell Davis likely would've gone down as one of the best RBs if he had a full career. Olandis Gary took over after the injury and had 96 yards a game. Mike Anderson put up almost 1,500 yds and 15 rush TDs the next season. Clinton Portis put up 1,500 yards in 2002 and 1,600 yards in 2003 and was traded for Champ Bailey and a 2nd round pick.

Terrell Davis was the best of the bunch but much of the 'RBs don't matter' comes from the Broncos from this era imo.

I do think the top 3 are Reid, McVay and Shanahan.

I'm hesitant on John Harbaugh. Ravens have put together some of the best offenses and teams of the modern era. Are the playoffs on him or Lamar?

A ton of coaches are in play for #4. In a way Todd Bowles and Vic Fangio both outcoached Reid in Super Bowls. Giving Jim Harbaugh the benefit of the doubt in the AFC W and not Sean Payton or Pete Carroll is interesting. Tomlin and McDermott have both had fanbases really upset lately.

I think Pete Carroll should be in the top 10 - he made the playoffs 10 times in Seattle and won a Super Bowl. I think that Kyle Shanahan is overrated given that he’s responsible for a couple of Super Bowl chokes, I think he’s the main one responsible for the Falcons choke in Super Bowl 51 and he was somewhat responsible for the Niners losing Super Bowl 54.

Counterpoint: he almost won Super Bowls with Matt Ryan, Jimmy Garappolo and Brock Purdy

Matt Ryan was a very good QB in his prime, he won MVP that season. And Purdy may have a very good career as well. Jimmy G is the only average QB of that bunch, I agree it’s impressive that he almost won a Super Bowl with him, but his decision to keep throwing it over and over while ahead in the 4th quarter cost the Niners in that game.

Man, the Falcons really should have won that game. Its Brady's best win probably if only because it should have never happened.

I just wonder how much that factors in. I really think the Chiefs should get credit for beating the Niners teams, though. Especially if we think Reid is the top coach.

Yeah we should’ve won that game, and if Shanahan had just called running plays at the end we probably would’ve been able to kick a FG and go up 31-20 and basically clinch the victory. But he fucked up and we wound up having to punt and Brady led the Pats down for a TD. It was an amazing performance by Brady, I agree it’s his best win, it was just insane. Still stings me to think about it and I don’t think we’ve fully recovered as a franchise from it.
I agree Mahomes/the Chiefs deserve all the credit for beating those Niners teams and I don’t even consider Super Bowl 58 a Niners choke job, yeah they led early but overall Shanahan didn’t do anything egregious that caused them to lose, Mahomes just played a great game and the Chiefs D got some key stops. But in Super Bowl 54 Shanahan called a lot of passing plays late despite having a lead and a solid running game, and it allowed Mahomes to lead the Chiefs on a couple of TD drives to take the lead. Shanahan choked in both Super Bowls 51 and 54.

They were really good pass plays, though, and the Niners missed layups because Jimmy G is mid.

Sometimes the better team wins

The winning percentage is nothing special to me, some coaches play in weaker divisions than others. It is amazing what a bad division can do for a decent coach.

counter point:
The head coach from what I understand is responsible for everything that happens on the sideline and coaches booth upstairs. Shany was thinking SB stats while Quinn was mucking it up on the sidelines with the Boys. Atlanta realized the momentum swing when we all did. Too Late, The legend of Brady will take it from there. Quinn was the head coach. He chocked with the mindset of his team and coaching staff when they started the second half.

Quinn was great in Dallas. Players coach, strong on the relationship with players department. Parsons helped, and Dallas drafted two impact corners, BUT the coach was also out checkered in many big games many times. I'd say since that SB, currently Quinn has some catching up to do to be at Shanny's coaching level.

Ryan cost the Falcons the Super Bowl because he consistently snapped the ball 5-15 seconds early with a running play clock. He effectively gave the Patriots an extra 90 seconds at the end of the 4th quarter. Awful clock management.
