I understand not wanting children exposed to bad language, but you can't go to a sports venue and expect not to hear it. Fans saying, "What the F", etc... and if you are close enough to actually hear what the players are saying then expect it there as well. If you are that sensitive to what children hear you should not take them to sporting events at all (or even send them to school for that matter).

...or let them on the internet

If the worst thing in this is the biggest whine bag in the league thinks twice next time I don’t see that as all bad.

Na that’s not happening in OKC, not the cussing part anyway. I know for a fact the Thunder don’t put up with it from the fans. Some teams do a better job of policing it than others.

Clearly the fan was talking shit, he admitted as such in an interview after the game. He has always hecked Doncic, Mav or Laker.

Easy to say when your team benefits from the resulting ejection and goes on a big scoring spree to end the game as a result.

Lmao I am never going to get worked up about one game, but Luka being a whine bag is well known.

So if Shai got ejected for talking shit with a fan because the ref thought it was directed at him, you'd be fine with it?

Not even necessarily about this game, but also now 2 techs away from a 1 game suspension. I don't recall what his first tech was about, but since he laughed it off that was probably unnecessary too (I had the game on mute, the homer Thunder crew was a bit much).

We can all aspire to be better and professionals should be no different.
I agree. Profanity is so commonly used now it has lost all value and meaning. I find using names of vegetables, the more uncommon the better, not only confuses people but they are also far more insulted. Call someone a MFer and there is no reaction, call them a rutabaga and they get irrationally irate because they don't even know what that means.

I would throw my hands up and realize there is nothing I can do about it then I would say hopefully the experience makes my guy be just a little more less embarrassing. Sorry I’m not feeling bad for Luka here, he actually hurts his team with the whine bag crap, just another instance.

None of that matters. The ref didn't understand what was going on and put himself in the middle of it and ruined an otherwise great game.

If you're going to come down hard on whiners, half of the league would be ejected nightly. Some guys never admit to a foul.

Shai isnt a demonstrative player and probably rarely engages fans.

Luka makes it nearly a nightly thing.

Please, everyone knows who the biggest whiner in the league is, even the clueless officials.

It's just an example of an equally important player being ejected for nonsense.

Yeah but you saw it right? It is completely understandable that the ref thought the cursing was aimed at him. And once they make that call, they arent going to overturn it based on the "Wasnt aimed at you" defense. Because that is the defense given half the time anyways.

While I think the ejection on Luka was complete bullshit, you're absolutely right, the Lakers lost their cool and it cost them the game.

They can't pull this shit in the playoffs. They still had Lebron and Austin on the floor, and DFS was having a good shooting game too. Take a time out, gather your troops and make a run for it!

Come on now, the Lakers have never been cool. I mean how you doing?
