I have noticed that a bit on Twitter, but not to the extent I have on Facebook. FB I was getting 10% stuff from friends and 90% political (both sides) and fake stories. The fake stories bugged me because they were obviously fake and thousands of people would reply. "Rosanne, Mel Gibson, and Mark Wahlberg start anti-woke studio!" (oh please do, please please), "Gary Sinuse Vows Never To Work With Woke Tom Hanks Again" (does he still work?), "Lamar Jackson has surprise gift for janitor who helped him change tire!" (accompanied by awful AI pictures). I was hitting "not interested" over and overbut still getting it all.

Glad they added the friends tab, so that's all I see now.

I did this for FB too.

So good I do many things.
Kind of a weird place for self praise, but OK.

The documentary Val is really good, it humanizes Val a good bit, especially since a lot of the productions he was involved on did not go well. The Island of Dr. Moreau, lol. He seemed to have mellowed with age, and it was obvious he really loved his kids. He lights up whenever they are around him.
So good in Tombstone, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, and others

I thought Val's portrayal of Jim Morrison in 'The Doors' was incredible. Damn good actor gone way too soon, RIP Val.

Had a rep for people hating to work with him which probably tells you he was a pretty good guy who disliked douchebags.

His part in Top Gun 2 was a nice send off.

Remember, if the Habs win the cup - big party at my place.

"Maybe it’s just been a minute since I’ve been in Lexington Market,” she said. “But since when they started selling muskrat and [rac]coon?”

Since forever, says Lou Fleming, general manager of Faidley’s Seafood, who began working for the seafood stand nearly 50 years ago. He remembers when raccoons were $5 apiece.

Though Faidley’s today is better known for its jumbo lump crab cakes, the business has been selling the rodents since it opened in 1886 at Lexington Market, one of the oldest continually operating markets in the country

I just got a call from Sunset Acres. Apparently at her senior center book club meeting, my aunt told everyone they should buy Torpedo Dildos before they are outlawed. Serves them right for choosing Eat, Pray, Love, no one wants to discuss that piece of crap.

Emol and Juan are identical twins. Their mother only carries a picture of Juan with her, because if you've seen Juan, you've seen Emol.

I just made an observation this morning...

All that time practicing patting your head and rubbing your belly at the same time pays off when you have two dogs.

To recap my weekend:

Friday - FIL fell, cut his arm and had to call 911. Stitches in 3 places. Mostly okay now. Finally agrees to get a life alert necklace.
Saturday - Torrential rains loosened the ground up under a neighbor's pine tree, causing it to crack at the trunk and start leaning, fortunately over my yard and not my house. But also over where my kid parks the car. Move the car into the driveway and notice the screen inside is flickering on and off and it is idling rough.
Sunday - Neighbor's tree comes down, takes down 2 large boughs of my front yard tree with it. Go to move the kid's car back after cleanup and decide to take a test drive to see what's up with the rough idle. All dashboard warning lights come on. Pull it into garage to look it over and alternator dies and car was stuck 90% of the way into the garage and wouldn't move. Had to leave garage door open, It fucking snowed/frosted over last night.

But I got to watch my team lose twice while scoring a grand total of zero goals.

I was north of Charlotte NC visiting my wife's family this weekend. I had not gone on any her recent family trips and volunteered to go on this one. After her family saw me for the first time in years they asked that they not see me for a few more. Then the NC authorities kind of hinted that I should not return for the foreseeable future.

Actually a nice visit and a pretty nice area. Davidson NC is a nice little college town with a nice main street area. When we were there on Saturday it was one of the first really warm days and there were two outdoor market/events going on. So sundresses, tank tops, and sports bras all over the place. Sometimes the stars align.

I'm hoping that nothing is seriously wrong with the car...

/Don't judge me, I'm pretty sure that's the highest priority above.

Our little suburban street has never been such a hub of activity. Two doors down on my side of the street had a furnace/AC repair truck out front of their house. Next door had two trucks, a loader and a wood chipper in front of theirs and mine. When our tow truck showed up, he decided to park across the street, one door down. He got our car started and while he was loading our car up (almost definitely the alternator), the house he was in front of got a delivery of 4 pallets of mulch.

That's when the garbage truck came down our street. It's bin day.

Also, I got the guys who were cleaning up the neighbor's tree carnage to trim the rest of my front tree for 300 cash *wink*wink* "since they were there". Estimate I had (including the boughs that the neighbor's tree took out) was 1100.
