Day to Day
I don't disagree, but Milton wasn't a long term player who'd been through ups and downs over a period of time. One year and they did a nice thing and took less for a guy who apparently had more value?? When they keep talking about what's best for the team, one would think that a better deal would be best for the team.Nothing wrong with doing something nice for a player. It’s not like they turned down a top 3 draft pick like someone said we could get.
On the other hand, maybe there's a little something going on under the covers that no one but the Patriots and Cowboys know about. Jerry Jones is having a real hard time getting Micah Parsons to sign a less than value contract extension. He's in the last year of his rookie contract and Jones is looking at Franchising him for the next two years if he doesn't sign it. The Patriots are one of a very few teams that could pay the guy near $40M a year, starting in 2025. Not saying that anything has been agreed, or even discussed. Just something that could be on a back burner.
