he's regressed this year...I think he hit a high point in 2023 and it's been a downhill slide since then.

He made a swing change at the end of last year that has been a disaster. He's getting stuck at the top and can't pull around.

....

A few years back now. He's blown some leads since.
He also has 10 professional wins (including two majors) to his credit as a 28-year old.

I think I would stop short of implying he is some sort of choke artist. What a ridiculous take for someone to have.

Fair enough but if you do a quick google search on the subject, you'll find that ridiculous take postulated in multiple places.

Obviously not to you.

I'm not necessarily making the claim myself and one may certainly disagree but it's not a ridiculous notion. When players lose 6 stroke leads on the final day, it becomes a thing.

LMAO. There isn't a golfer on tour that hasn't squandered a final round lead. Winning a professional golf tournament isn't easy.

A choke artist doesn't win two majors before the age of 28. Hell...a choke artist doesn't win two majors...period.

Maybe we need to list some undebatable golf choke artists to see what defines the term. I'll go first, Jean Vandevelde.

I have no problem if someone defends Colin. All I'm saying is the conversation is out there so I think it's too much to say that it's a ridiculous notion.

...and yeah, 'ole Vandy fucked things up real good.

Oh, I also found one of my golf cards from last summer out in the garage. Played with my buddy Ned in early June. I was +3 through 12 holes.....and I didn't break 80! Talk about shitting the bed. NEhomer's a choke artist for sure. Why the fuck did I even keep that card?

Brandel Chamblee really went after Morikawa last night for telling the press he didn't owe them anything when asked why he refused an interview after his round. He showed clips of how several other golfers in the past handled crushing disappointments with class... Norman's Master's meltdown, Van de Velde, Watson's Open loss at 59 YO, Mickelson's screwup at the 2006 US Open. Chamblee can be a dick at times, but he was right.

Heard an excellent rant from him recently outlining why LIV needs the PGA but the PGA is doing just fine wihout LIV.

Where are the up and coming young players feeding LIV? There aren't any. The entire league consists of established players and has-beens.

Not sure where I stand on a player ditching out on the press after collapsing.

Rory bolted after the US Open last year. I totally get it. It has zero to do with "lack of class". That's way over the top. All of these guys give interviews after losses (disappointments) most of the time.
