Man, I’m not sure what the Eagles are doing with this CJGJ trade. I know they like their young safeties but Gardner Johnson wasn’t around in 2023 and the defense lacked that confidence, swagger, and toughness. It was back last year. I’m not in the room so I don’t know his real impact on the team but from afar it seems like CJGJ is a dog that makes the guys around him better.

Anybody have any data on the quality of the guard coming back? This guy will likely compete with Steen for the opening created with Becton moving on in free agency.
Seems all the eagles can handle of him is one season. He’s such a knucklehead and flap his jaws way too much.

All I know is that the Chiefs embarrassed their RT and C in the playoffs and our pass rush isnt even that good.
Yeah I don't think Green matters. He was awful. The Tunsil move tells me they are going to rebuild the OL through the draft

I’m reading that Fangio has a lot of sway and he wasn’t a fan. These guys have earned the benefit of the doubt. They’re betting on their young players to step up. I just hope they’re right.

Basically this. He sounds like a divisive locker room character. He also blew some coverages early on, though he seemed to get with the program down the stretch.

This looks like a salary dump/character move. They reportedly like Sydney Brown, the brother of Bengals RB Chase Brown, at safety after drafting him in the third round a few years ago. But Brown has had durability issues and is also a bit of a loose cannon back there.

What is Houston doing? I guess they want to rebuild the OL through the draft. Wonder what Stroud thinks of this plan

I don't get that trade at all... you're not going to keep a great blindside protector for your still on a rookie contract top 2 overall pick? The hell? And then the Commanskins give up basically a 3rd and a future 2nd (which is like a 3rd)? What the hell? lol...

I dunno what the fuck Houston is thinking. Maybe Tunsil just demanded a trade and wants to play with Daniels lol. Hell I would've been fine if Seattle gave that up and put Tunsil at right tackle lol.

Through most of last season, it seems like Tristan McCollum over took Sydney Brown. He was next man up last season when a safety missed snaps.

It’s pretty clear with the way FA has developed that the Eagles are betting on their young talent. Ojomo, Jalyx Hunt, the young safeties, Kelee Ringo, Steen, etc…

Howie stock piling picks. They have like 12 picks in 26 now. Think this means he will be looking to move up in different spots. Time will tell.

Makes sense for him as seems far better chance to beat out Richardson than JJ

Yah I don't think that surprises anyone. Daniel Jones will get to experience an actual offensive line for the first time in his life.

mid-50s......decent intramural QB 35 years ago. Some serious back and shoulder issues now.

But, yeah, I give myself a chance.

Meanwhile Richardson would prob. not be able to keep up with us Hooplans. He'd take the day off from posting because he was too tired... :pound:

Chiefs just grabbed the worst player in the Chargers secondary for some reason. I guess he can be CB3 but Kristian Fulton at 10 mil seems a bit much. This seems like more of a redundancy play because the secondary is so reliant on Trent McDuffie that if anything happened to him they needed someone.

many times, coaches think production has a lot to do with scheme.
Most likely backed up with some film study.
:noidea:
I think as fans we always think of ideal scenarios when it comes to signings. This signing might be factoring in things like 'what happens if McDuffie walks next year or gets injured'

Trading for Anthony Richardson would be a colossal mistake by any team, he’s horrid, I still have a hard time believing the Colts took him in the top 5 given how mediocre he was in college - couldn’t even lead the Gators to a winning season. I think the Colts are already giving up on him and that shows what a huge bust he is
