Waiting to hear where the rest of the interior OL guys go, so far Dalman is the only one who has signed that I'm aware of

Hopefully after the spending spree is over they can land a decent IOL or two.

33.3 Mill a year for a bridge QB. I am fine with it. He is only a baby step better than Geno but he is a vet bridge QB and is cheaper than Geno. Who knows maybe he takes another step forward this coming season like he took a step forward last season. SO this could turn out to be a great move in a couple ways. Top 10 pick in 2026 or playoffs in 2026. Maybe he is to much like Geno and barely misses playoffs but is good enough to give us a midround pick. It's what Geno would have gave us.

I would have rather had Fields for 2 years at 40 million. ( 20 mill a year )

So the only move they made today was Darnold. Not a great sign.

Not a lot of movement through out the NFL, calm down and take a deep breath. We dont need top flight first guys off the board in FA they need to just stay away from scraping the bottom of the barrel like JS likes to do. Dont forget that guys cant sign till Wednesday anyway.

A lot of teams overpaying for guys that aren't all that good is what I'm seeing.
Still plenty of OL out there, will they sign one?
I'm still leaning towards going into the year with basically the same OL as last year but hope wrong

I'm hardly panicking here. But we've seen the Schneider MO for 15 years. Skip the big name guys, lose out on the mid tier guys and sign reclamation projects to be starters on the OL.

The whole point of moving on from DK and, to a lesser extent, Geno was to have cap space to work with. Realistically we need 3 competent OL that can start or be quality backups.

I don't think we need to make moves early but I really don't want to hear Schneider giving out excuses for why he was only able to sign some oft injured 30 something year old to bolster the line.

Also makes it harder for Vikings to sign Will Fries, who is the best guard available right now and who they are trying to sign.

I am not ready to cut bait on C Olu Oluwatimi, he was one of the highest graded Centers when he was drafted. This young kid has zero confidence in his play after the BS he has gone through the past 2 years. The issue is he still shows promise some times, let him build his confidence up get him out there playing and support him. The Hawks ended the season rated 21st in pass blocking win rate thats 10 spots higher than the year before and better than the past 3+ years. To bad that the OLine coach got fired that started this turn around.

I center can look real bad with a bad Guard beside him, now imagine how that looks with a bad guard on BOTH sides of your center? I have no doubts its one of the many reasons Connor Williams retired. Hawks dont have a competent guard on the team right now.

If Bradbury is cut they should go after Him, he will be cheap competition. No way olu should be handed the starting gig no questions asked

Heck even trade a 7th for him would be fine, think he's making like 4 million only.

I am still HIGHLY annoyed by how we've coached the OL over the last few years. Draft Haynes, make him inactive (even though he was the best pure RG in the draft). "Well he's undersized." THEN WHY THE FUCK DID YOU DRAFT HIM!? Oluwatimi actually graded pretty well on PFF... Cross is a top 10 OT and was snubbed of the pro bowl...

Address the fuckin' problem on the OL which has been for YEARS, COACHING! There's certainly talent there... fuckin' use it and coach it up properly. I swear to God, you watch Haynes/Olu get traded or released and become a pro bowler somewhere else...

Also, you could put Walter Jones, Steve Hutchinson, Larry Allen, and Jon Ogden on the OL and with Grubb's DUMBASS college system last year, nothing would've worked.

Huff would have did fine, we saw better play from these guys even though we had the worst guards in the league and a revolving door at RT. They got as high as 16th in the league in Pass blocking win rate before stumbling a little giving up 12 sacks in a 3 game span and 9 sacks in 2 of those games near the end of the season. Can't bail on a Oline coach that turned Chicken shit into a passable Oline in his first year. With what Huff was working with he was ahead of the game.

There was times last season when everything worked for the Oline and Geno had ALL day to throw. It was crazy how well they could hold up some times. That told me they were learning, they were improving and just need more time and teaching to be consistent. Well and some better players. Then they go a let Huff go .. wtf!
