Crazy this morning that some of the 9ers after the game admitted they didn't know the overtime rules. Talk about embarrassing...

Can anyone explain why OT doesn't end, then restart after 15 minutes if needed? I understand the change to guarantee (barring defensive scores) a possession, but 15 minutes should be enough to do that. It didn't affect last night's game (barely, winning score at 0.03), but seems ridiculous to me.

Well, that’s really soft and gay. This is a mindset for middle school athletics. The Niners are led by a coach who is widely seen as as an offensive genius. He shit the bed again last night. He’s 0-3 in Super Bowls as head coach or offensive coordinator and in all 3 he’s blown double digit leads. Pro sports is for Big Boys. By every measure, the Niners had the better team, they had a lead in the game, for much of the contest they won the battle on the line of scrimmage. They absolutely choked.

Both teams made costly mistakes. KC just made 1 more play.

Read something on NIL. The Maryland coach was approached by his 3rd string RB who wanted to transfer. Was asked why and the kid said unless he was given 100k he wanted out.

I thought this NIL and Portal business was good at first because coaches can leave for other jobs whenever but damn....this is really wild.

It's just the transition stage, it will be weird and messy for a few years until the top teams (perhaps 64 of them) form a pro league (keeping the college colors and stadiums). The programs that aren't in that league will go back to having football as just another NCAA sport, some will drop their football programs (like Sonoma State, Larry Allen's alma mater, did)
