makes no sense but whatever lol. Not like he'd be with them next year.

God that must mean they want to see if they can rehab Fournier and pay him much less to stay.

That whole round of moves was really bad.

Trade Trey Lyles and a 2nd (josh Jackson but out of league so whatever) for Bagley

Re sign Bagley to a 2 year deal

Then trade him away for expirings and have to move 2 more 2nd rounders

OR

They could have just kept Trey Lyles lol.

sigh.

I’ve been convinced for a while that he is not THE guy. He’s still a very good player and can help this team, but he’s not a guy that you build the team around.
Like Stafford for the Lion, great for a fantasy team, not necessarily for a real team (yes, I know he won a Super Bowl, but he stepped into a stacked team that was right there, you could have QB’d that team to the SB).

problem is any deal detroit would get for him is going to be kinda shitty relative to him maybe breaking through. They're locked in where they'd need a PG back and I'm not sure who fits there.

Ivey is doing fine at PG. and Sasser is catching up to NBA speed. Cade shouldn’t be the point

Whatever the case the team seems to do better with Ivey there for the time being. I'd love to think their core breaks out but it's extremely unlikely.

But as I pointed out when all 4 are on the floor at the same time (Duren Stew Cade Ivey) they do quite well. It's the rest of the combinations that have been bad.

Sasser and Thompson are both looking better with more minutes and faster/better ball movement when Cade is not dominating the ball time and pace.
