I have watched both.
Both can't create their own shot. Mainly spot up shooters. Both can play hard defense. Wade can guard 4's

Only difference, O'Neale is on an expiring deal. Not sure that matters, the Cavs are strapped regardless

Cavs look like they will be quiet today- and I think that makes sense...not sure they really need to do anything.
Loved hearing Mitchell's comment when asked after game last night about deadline and his thoughts. Something like "really? Didn't even know....guess that tells you what I think we need to do. We're good"

Though I guess a small deal could be made.

I have said for a few weeks that the Knicks are going to be tough to beat and now they added Burks and Bog?

Holy shit.

Burks is obviously a better scorer than Grimes but his net net is at best a break even. Bojan is the prize....since NY already has a pretty solid D.

so we are at

Cade
Ivey
Simone
Stew
Duren

Grimes
Galo
Ausar
Muscala
Brown
Shake
Sasser

as the likely active roster

Wiseman banished to suckville. Killian traded. Harris released. House done. Flynn done. Fournier done. Ryan A as depth.

I feel like I'm forgetting someone.
Kelly Tripucka?

Yeah, don't want that to happen because it would be a great move by the Cavs.
Not sure about great as never knows what it does in locker room as they seem to all love Wade.....though have heard O'Neale a good friend of Mitchell, so....

as far as on court? Wade has been a little inconsistent but really helped out when needed when Mobley was out. O'Neale's recent playoff series a bit of a concern.

Bog makes 41.5% of his treys and Burks makes 40%.

The Knicks were 14th in 3% before the trade. Both helped IMO.

Merrill does need more playing time. Wade can guard 4's and 3's. He is very solid defender but he can't create his own shot.
I've seen him take it to the hoop with some success.....what I've noticed, though, if he cannot get off a 3 quickly and/or is uncovered he cannot get that shot.

Plus, the Knicks were overloaded with guards like Brunson, Hart, and DD.

I'm not saying Burks doesn't help. Just that having watched him all year he goes into funks. Maybe it's because he was on a shitty team.

But some of the games Detroit dropped (most recently cleveland) had him in the closing unit and he couldn't guard his man.

Walk me through what you’re seeing. I can be talked into the Cavs but I would be worried about the 3 different guys they can throw at Butler and Herro in OG, Hart and Donte.
Agree....I'd like to say he's nuts to want the Cavs as we are a far different team than last season but I get it without having seen us have postseason success yet. NY? also a lot different, but with no OG that would hurt obviously.

Yeah he can't create his own shot. That is fine but for most part Niang, Wade and Merrill are shooters. Which is fine but they won't be creating a shot for themselves or others. JB does a great job of fitting them in lineups
